2005 E55 AMG Values in the SF Bay Area
Am I missing something in this universe? Are W211 E55 values going up? 3 separate CL adds for 05 E55's listed for sale in the SF Bay Area for crazy money. All 3 cars are in the 60k mileage range, yes I know CL adds, but still. $29-32,000... WTF I don't know, nor have I seen any of the cars listed, but...

Wow! Super nice cars and low miles too! Glad to see the prices increasing on nice examples.
Mine is an 05 with 60xxx miles and has been modded , but still super clean. I wouldn’t sell mine for much less than that either.

I bought my 04 as a "high mileage, highly depreciated" example to drive. Bought with 130k June 2020 and has about 135k now. Sold my CTS-V and freed up a garage bay as it was a garage queen that I may have put 1,200 miles a year on. Life actually seems better with something that I use but still garage. Funny how that works.

This place is a joke.

Agreed, my 156k mile (bought with 98k in 2012) 505 rwhp E55 is the most fun car I've ever owned. I enjoy every mile and don't care how many more miles I put on it at this point. Conversely, I'm hesistant to drive my 13k mile CLK cabrio or 77k mile ML63 in fear of adding too many miles. If I bought a 60k mile E55 it'd just be a garage queen, what fun is that?

There are a couple of issues contributing to our favorite models and most used cars. First, with all the money the governmnet has been passing out like candy, that money has gone for buying things people want not need (since they didn't need the money for all the so called the necesssities). Then, the next event to keep used car prices esculating - new car manufactures are shutting down production lines due to a lack of needed computer chips. So, free money and a reduce supply of new cars drive up the used cars on the market. Like most everything, this too will pass.
