I struggled to remove my secondary air injection as I could not find any guides or tips as its not very common to remove... This was on my 2003 Mercedes E55 note you will need to have the vehicle tuned after and is for off road use only as sai is apart of emissions.
9/10 times when removing the air injection diverter value the bottom lip snaps off, it is recommended/easier to do this when the supercharger is off the car. So once I took my diverter values off and snapped them inside the engine I cut a rag and stuffed it down the hole (you do not want to get metal shavings inside) then get a small flat head and hammer and just be gentle and break the metal that is stuck inside the engine into pieces till it falls apart, then when pulling rag out be very carful and use a vacuum if needed. I bought my block off plates from VRPSPEED. After then remove the secondary air pump which is on the driver side behind the bumper for the m113k or on the top of the engine for the m113. And follow the vacuum lines that go from the air switch pull them out of engine and put vacuum plugs. You can remove the air switch that is bolted to the valve cover. And that is how I removed my secondary air injection. Main reason for removal was because I have fitted long tube headers with no catalytic converters. So secondary air injection is useless to me.
Code for SAI is p410 and there is a AMG part number for a plug for a hole on the supercharger. From removing the diverter values which I will upload after.

Easier way is to just code out the sai using STAR and you won't have the code throwing up.. Far less effort, unless you out to save the weight.

sometimes they break when you take them off, and you don’t need any of the sai system when you go catless, cleans up engine bay, no real cons of keeping it.

You can remove the system that helps to cats to get to work temp faster, but usually you have no benefits from it. If you remove physically - more empty space under hood, m113k has more clear area to cool down top of engine, but you will need covers.(vrp has it).
Less systems - more reliable car.

so the fact i have no more cats anymore it would make sense to remove it

so isit just the case of removing the 2 canisters either side of the supercharger and coding it out?
no pumps or anything to remove?
and there a unit or something behind bumper that controls it ?

@Tylerhayles Always look/search on youtube, there is a video for almost anything! The pump is btw in the bottom right if you stand in front of the engine, just follow the air pipes down the driver fender.

AMGMeister did a vid on the pump as well, but that was focused on repair. But it will help you identify the correct part to remove

These 2 pieces from the top o the engine you can remove without taking off anything else, just need some adapters on your rachet, and dexterity. But you need covers https://www.vrpspeed.com/product/vrpegr/

M113 SAI pump check valve cleaning
I’m in the middle of an m113 rebuild . Through out the process I’ve been doing lots of soda blasting to remove carbon build up everywhere i find it . I didn’t bother to get before shots but here are the results. I’m very pleased . I took extra time to make sure the reed valve was super clean because it was caked with lawyer of reddish brown carbon that was pesky to remove with the baking even after a soak in diesel fuel .
