Please Help Me Choose Aftermarket Parts
There's lots of tricks to make them more efficient and push more air..If you were starting out, what brands would you go with? For..
Long tube headers (best fitment)
Mufflers (Less raspy.. prefer the sound of good ol Flowmasters)
ECU with handheld or ability to plug into laptop to change tunes. Bonus if I can make adjustments myself.
Thank you!

Welcome to the AMG world Puddin'! My recipe for success on my '04 was a set of American Racing longtube headers, with hi-flow cats, 77mm clutched supercharger pulley, 90mm TB, with a RaceIQ tune and a Forced Induction Interchiller Stage 2 kit. That should get you a very low 11-second 1/4 mile ET.
To make it hook, look for a Wavetrac or Quaife LSD and a set of 16" Hoosiers or Mickey's on some CLK320 forged wheels.
Good luck!

I've only ran the car one night at the track on bald 500 Treadwetreadwear tires, and it ran 7.99 @ 90 or low 90s 1/8mi. Can't remember. 7.99 for sure. That's at a 1900' above sea level track, too.

on my hankooks v12 evo2s I've managed a low 1.7 60ft I'm on stock air suspension. I usually do a small burnout and have my suspension on lift and comfort this helps with the weight transfer to the rear end.

As far as parts interchangeability with the Chryslers, the R&P is interchangeable (215mm), but the cases tend to have different mounting ears so I don't think you can drop a whole unit in from a Chrysler. The Mercedes 722.6 transmission is basically the same thing as the Chrysler NAG1. You can get modified valve bodies, higher stall converters, and even a transbrake for them.
The only improvements you are likely to make in the rear suspension are urethane bushings and maybe camber arms if you want to less negative camber. Personally, I wouldn't bother unless your stock bushings are worn out, or if it eats tires (premature wear on the inside tread)

Pick your Goal and your Budget and you're good to go!
once you push past this you are looking at upgrading injectors, throttle body, stacked pulleys, even more cooling etc and that is when you might start pushing the reliability.
