I'm going to lose my license...
Ok...I'm driving home on I75 North w/ cruise control on 75mph about 10pm. I see headlights coming up on me pretty fast and soon they are on my bumper. They hang there for about 5-10 seconds and they gun it and pass me...I'm just chilling so I let them be all they can be (looked like 3 guys in a late model Ford Cobra). Here's the kicker...they SLOW down until there are next to me and gun it again...
Needless to say, I think they just wanted to have fun w/ "an A-hole in a Mercedes" (I can just hear them saying it). Not wanting to disappoint them...I gun it when they get next to me again and they decide start to accelerate away from me.
...SOOO I'm now @ 120mph and they look like they are standing still...it seemed like a couple blinks of an eye and I was there...PASSED my exit...my adrenaline got the best of me for 10 seconds...I eventually got home, though.
OK...childish I know...admit it though, you gotta do it once in awhile...damn AMG...

Anyone who has done this can probably attest to this feeling...If you are talking about looking for highway patrol...I wasn't looking at that speed...I probably would have passed them by the time my mind would have registered they were FHP...
Luck and knowing the road helped a lot...

Yeah I know the feeling...Its called light speed. At least in my book it is. All of my friends, the second they get in the car, just start saying light speed, come on, pleeeeeaseee. Try it on a narrow street with cars parked on both sides. Roll down your windows and listen. Sounds and feels like youre in a Star Wars flick.
