E55 to CLS55
I am curious if E55 owners really eager to migrate to CLS55?
Here in HK, E55 priced HKD 1.25m, CLS55 priced 1.65m.
( 1 USD to 7.8 HKD)
That would be considered as an 'upgrade' here.
I am sure US and Canada owners have different views about whether CLS55 is an upgrade?

Read a short write up in the UK magazine Top Gear about the new CLS 55. They commented positively on the luxury interior, the quicker steering , and the exterior styling. The article stated that MB says the CLS 55 is "40 percent more sportier than the E55".

Looking forward to seeing it in person.

SL 65 AMG and E63s AMG
Let's hope that some of the sporty features will be able to be added to the E55. OH PLEASE Santa bring me a handling module upgrade to reduce body lean.

The CLS was intended to be a step up from the E from the beginning. It slots between the E and the S. I ordered the CLS55 and am really looking forward to taking delivery in late March. It is a sportier car than the E55. But, I will always love the E55 anyway.

I have one on order as well, but after test driving the SL55 today, I'm sold...I ordered one today and will give it the Renntech treatment and LSD.

40% how do you measure that?

Yeah, the new rims are 20% sportier then the older 17"ers.. :p

The problem is that Mercedes is coming out with too many models. They have the S, CLS, E, SL, CL and whatever else they have... I was reading CAR magazine yesterday and they had an article titled "its raining Benz" and it shows how Mercedes is planning on a "CLE which is a scaled down CLS but with suicide rear door." Where are they going to slot this class among the other classes maybe between the CLS and E? They are also planning on three coupes, two wagons two cabrios one off-road, and one saloon only for the C-class family. It may be good for the consumer because their is a huge selection to chose from but I think it’s too much.
