still waiting for the new plate to come..
Also I have a question, does anybody know how to take off the interior dome light? I'm trying to hardwire my V1 but I have no idea how to remove that damn thing.

Nice!!!! Congratulations.
I have my own reasons for picking silver, but I think the car really looks best in black.
Please write a review of the car once you have had a chance to drive it a while.

Thanks for the compliments guys. Really enjoyed the car a lot yesterday. Too bad it was raining, not the best day to pick up a brand new car ![Frown](https://mbworld.org/forums/images/smilies/frown.gif)
All Canadian models come with alcantara headliner as standard. Other options are premium package and performance package. It also came with the CF interior trims although it doesn't say CF anywhere on the option list.
Some impressions after the first day of driving it:
The start-up "roar" from the engine reminds me one of the E55's ads illustrating a pair of beast's eyes under the hood. The beast is now awaken every time you press the engine start button.
I didn't drive it hard yesterday because of the weather. I did try the differences between C, S and S+ and the different suspension setting, and they do exactly what the names suggest, but I think i'll stick with S mode for my daily driving. I do notice some jerking between 1st and 2nd gear in C mode sometimes, but I need to drive a few more times to be sure. One question though, whats the exact procedure to get into the RS mode? My sales wasn't quite sure of how to do it, and I haven't gone through the user manual yet. He did tell me that my oil temp needs to reach 80 Celsius first, but he forgot how to get into RS. As for handling, I'm not a pro driver or anything so my opinion might not be true, but this car handles great. Although it doesn't feel as agile as the C55, I could still take corners with confidence at higher speed (no other cars on the streets of course, safety first
)
In terms of design, the car looks WAY BETTER than it does in pictures, especially the rear end. The rear lights flow elegantly from the back to the side of the car, and the new quad tailpipes fit nicely with other square-ish elements like the front and rear lights, as well as the contour of the body.
Interior wise, it shares many parts with the W204 but Mercedes arranges and decorates them in the way you'd expect in a e-class. The buttons are mostly well placed, and I just LOVE the new look of the climate control. The COMAND is easy to use, and it pairs up with and loads the contacts in my iphone 3gs easily. The only complains would probably be the placement of the buttons for opening the armrests. I'd guess that it's designed for taller drivers, (I'm 5-6). With the seat position I set, I have to curl my arm in a weird angle to press that button. Oh well, the storage box is small in there so I guess I won't be opening it often anyways. The other complain is the poor design of the center armrest at the back seat. Way too much work just to get the cup holders out. All I needed to do in the W203 was to press a button and it'll slide out.
Another thing I'd like to point out is the "Adidas" shaped door panels. It was weird when I first looked at it, but when the ambient lighting is turned on, the reflection of light on the panels and the "gaps" is just perfect. I would say that the interior is designed with night time driving in mind.
Overall, this is a great car. After all it's a 100k car (Canadian dollar of course, $119500 to be more precise with the options and a discount, plus $25000 trade-in value for the W203), but with the performance and luxury you get, its well worth the money.
Side notes for Canadians, Mercedes-Benz Canada is now offering $6500 off for trading in your 06-up AMG vehicles. I'm not very sure about the details because my C55 is an 05
, but do ask your dealer for more info!

Congrats! ![thumbs](https://mbworld.org/forums/images/smilies/thumbsup.gif)
I agree it looks good in black. The W212s seem to look better in darker colors, imho.
Thanks for the write-up. Interesting that alcantara is standard in the Canadian version. What about Nappa leather? Or is it the E550 standard leather? Was the P34 package even available? I wish AMG/MB would have a list of specific options for both NA and ROW posted clearly on their website. Even the dealers seem clueless around here.
Doesn't it start out in 2nd in C mode, like the other transmissions? Is the jerking when you shift it into 1st when you're in C mode? That was a common issue in the SLs with MCT (in both S and C.)
