It will probably be hard...coming from an audi S6, I had to use a VAG COM (cable and software) just to even unlock the LEDs to turn at a dimmed level at night. Be happy that the E63 LEDs come on when the headlights turn on without the need to unlock.
I think they did this so oncoming traffic wont be distracted much by the LEDs...

I tryed the star system also, it seems like it would be in a secret location on the star computer? It makes me somewhat angry that such nice L.E.D's go dim when all lights are on.

Hey folks, I'm just jealous that you guys have the LEDs functional. I live in Korea where we have legal restrictions for LED running lights below the bumper. Many W212 owners have gotton aftermarket switches installed to shut on and off at the brightest level.
I was wondering if anyone would know how to enable the factory LED settings on as I do not want to go the aftermarket route? Thanks.

This is slightly off topic and probably like pouring salt in a wound but have any of you seen the 2010 BMW 3 series headlight assembly and angel eyess? A friend of mine just picked up a 335 and the angel eyes are now ultra bright white LED which can be programmed on the set up menu to stay fully iluminated, dimmed or off. In addition to that there is a frosted "eyebrow" on the top leading edge that glows white at night when the headlights are off, really neat feature IMO.

BMW have always been the king of "cool headlights". Audi modernized the trend, and M-B are playing catchup, and now over-compensating with their christmas tree W221 F.L lights, and the highly detailed and LED crazed next-gen CLS lights.

I really don't feel like my LED's are less bright at night. And if they are, I don't really care, as A- I'd rather not "blind" or irritate the eyes of anyone heading towards me (or in front of me) more than some Xenon's already do themselves. And B- That pic of that guys setup with the LED's in that pic; IMO they don't look as smooth, maybe because they seem to be at a brightness level that has 'em seemingly fighting with the HID's above them.
