Exclamation exahst pipes are filthy
Am i the only person who scrubs the crap out of their exhaust pipes, only to find them smokey and grey after 30 min of driving.

Its common in every car. The car doesn't have to run rich for exhaust tips to get dirty. It shows even more on AMG tips because they are polished.

fwiw, Menzerna makes a great metal polish that works really well on exhaust tips http://www.menzernausa.com/menzerna-metals.htm

But yeah, all tips get dirty. But my P-car doesn't get nearly as bad as the E63 primarily because the tip ends aren't rolled heavily like the E63 tips. So they don't ever look as dirty.

Then I am definitely doing it right.

On my W211 had to buy a buffing head to really clean it up when I am looking to show off.
