factory lsd or Renntech
so I was getting ready to order my new 2012 E63 knowing full well build times are taking over 4 months but then I happened to locate a car at another local dealership, the car I located is Iridium silver, when I was going to order diamond white but the silver was my second choice, I could live with it, now the car I located has every option I wanted i;e Performance package, twin spoke 5 star rims, black premium leather, parktronic, the premium package that includes the key less go and everything that comes with it, and no pano roof which is how I want it, now the car also has the CF interior trim, the CF rear spoiler, the distronic package with lane keeping and blind spot, these are options I would not have ordered but can live with, the only option I can't live with is that the car does not come with the factory LSD, now the dealer is really working with me, 3k conquest cash, 5% off MSRP and then some, plus they are giving what I wanted on my trade in, so my question is should I buy this car so I don't have to wait for months and just have the Renntech lsd installed? (I believe the Renntech unit is supposed to be better the the factory lsd) or order the car with the factory lsd and in the diamond white which is my first color choice? the dealer knows I am torn between taking this one and ordering the other one and they are really working the numbers, I do plan to lower the car, get a tune and some other mods so swapping out the Renntech lsd is just another mod to me, what would you do?

I might have stated this too early as there is another thread stating that Quafie does indeed make a unit for the 212 E63 twin turbo car, can anyone please confirm this, it would be a tremendous help

I don't think the Quafie will work I did a little research and the rear out of a 2011 E63 and the rear out of a 2012 E63 have different part numbers so the Quafie probably won't work, on another note I can get a new complete lsd rear from the dealer for $3300 so that's another option besides the Renntech

LSD comes with the performance package on '10 and '11 cars. LSD is a separate option start in '12.

i keep thinking is it better to not get the PP on the car but instead get the Renntech stage 1 ECU and Quaife LSD - $8500 vs - $5500

Regardless it would void warranty on things the installed items can effect. So the rear diff probably is nothing to even begin to worry about in regards to the factory warranty. The ECU tune on the other hand I could see someone worrying about but would greatly depend on just how long do they plan to keep their car.
