Optional 3-Spoke AMG Steering Wheel

I want to add this steering wheel to my car. Anyone have a part number or know where I can get more info (without going to the dealer if possible). This is the thicker wheel with suede (Alcantra?) grips. Love it!

There are some on eBay that have alcantara on the sides and cf on top and bottom.

FF. W212 E63 M156 non-pano 18" P2 ParkT NightV (gone but will be missed).
I remember someone mentioned before about alcantara on the steering wheel of their Lambo gradually wearing off but is not covered under factory warranty. Hopefully that's not the case with this car. Anyway, since then, I'm somewhat uneasy about holding on to the alcantara portion. But it does feel good--nice and grippy.

I am looking for the FACTORY option, not aftermarket. Will check dealer and some of the online parts places prices.

Agree. Personally, I would stick with the oem ones. You might have seen that recent cockpit video of land speed record on the salt flat and the steering wheel came off in the guy's hands at something over several hundreds mph. Anyway, he was okay and it didn't crash (thus it was total LOL for me) but you can imagine the panic that's going through this head at that moment.

Is that the non-oem one you talked about. It does look good. Really racy looking with that red strip at the 12 o'clock to help with the positioning. However-- I would still stick with the oem one just to be safe.

That was probably me. Now I'm using the alcantara wheel on my new E63, I note the fabric is different to that on the Lambo which was a longer pile. I've seen somewhere a proper alcantara cleaning product which wasn't available when I had the Lambo. I wonder if there is a steering wheel cover - I'd use it when leaving the car at the dealer for servicing to stop the technician getting his dirty hands on the fabric.

Good to hear from the actual owner with actual experience. Hmm...maybe I can use ceran wrap for that certain situation to wrap the alcantara part.

Do you need just the wheel or the airbag too?

Im changing my wheel to the perf leather version.
I just prefer the feel of leather to alcantara.

Yes, I believe the optional factory AMG 3-spoke wheel is different on 2010/2011 and the new 2012.

I have that 3-spoke wheel as pictured above. I wonder what the P30 steering wheel look like for the '12 model.

So it looks the same as non P30 steering wheel, except with alcantara at the typical hand-holding locations. The MY'10-'11 regular one is really different, with 4-spokes steering wheel.

For the most part yes, however the top and bottom of the wheel are also more flat than round. It's pretty subtle.

I guess I fail to notice the 12 and 6 o'clock flattening to aid in ingressing and exgressing.

w204 c 220 cdi
I have a w204 c220 cdi classic. I have the standard 4 spoke steering wheel. I wanted to get the 2012 amg steering wheel. Will I need to change my airbags too?
And I don't have paddle shift in my car right now. If I get the amg steering wheel for my car with paddle shifters, will they work?
