There was no GG on our '13 E63 wagon, I know MBUSA works hard to avoid it.

 

I think you are right. The 2013 E63 did not qualify for the GG tax, but the 2013 BMW M5 does (ha!). Hope things don't change with the 4matic 2014.

While I'm waiting for my E63S build, I ran through the Configurator on the germany MB site and at least got some renders to hold me over until my delivery next month:

She's a beauty! I was so torn between this Diamond White Metallic and the Palladium Silver Metallic. Looks stunning in both though. I went with the Palladium, but it was a damn close call!

 

Thanks for the link to the germany mb site. I can't read all the packages, but it gives you an idea what they look like.

I wish the night package had the spoiler in black as well. Man, if you went with all carbon fiber, interior CF and both CF packages, that would be a boat-load of CF and expensive to boot!

 

E63s, loaded! $117,595 Msrp, almost every option. Black on black. Was going to wait for new s class but this seems more fun!

Haven't been on the computer (been driving since yesterday) and can't figure out how to load pics on mobile. MB did give me a $3k credit toward msrp. The ride is amazing! B&O system sounds better than I could have imagined. All the technology works wonderfully. Black on black, black wheels and night styling package. Got every option except ceramic brakes. It's a rocket!

 

Man, we gotta see pics. I can't wait to see the night styling package! I don't think you can upload from a phone...guess we will have to wait till you get time on your regular 'puter to get us our fix. Congrats!

Was looking at CLS order guide noticed you have to pay $3690 for P01 pkg. and it is standard on E63.

 

Yes...one of the reasons I went E instead of CLS. When you are paying over a $100k USD, that stuff should just be included...even if they raise MSRP.

My business partner has a 2012 CLs63 w PP which got me interested in the E. his car was actually more expensive and it's a fair amount smaller inside. I'm not even that tall (6 ft) but am really uncomfortable in the CLS unless I have the seat way back then the back seat is crushed so it doesn't really work for me.

 

Nice Build looking forward to pics. Speaking of configurator what happened to the old one where it showed options and prices and gave a summary of build.
New one just seems to allow for color and wheel changes.

Well, I had a build date for my E63P for the second week in september. News has been sparse, and it seems the rumors of AMG engine production delays are correct. Just had some more confirmation from my dealer that the lack of engines have delayed all E63 production. I'm hoping to get more information early next week to see if its been resolved and what the new production dates will be.

 

Just entered the order info in te computer with my salesman last thursday... Order placed on january 26th 2012...

build date december 10th - planned delivery january 26th 2013 (a year to the day from order!!)

I have until beginning of november to modify order, as the car usually goes RED a month before production. I'm hesitating about CCB, the price is steap but I track the car 2-3 times a year... I will have a chance to try the car in Vegas on the AMG performance Tour on october 29th so it will be the deciding test...

 

You sure you don't mean 2013 and 2014 in your dates? Otherwise it does not make any sense?

 

I might see you there... I got my dealers Vegas slot.. I'd prefer to go in November though so I don't miss any of my kid's Halloween stuff. I won't pass up the oct session if that's all I can get though.

I am on the fence regarding CCB too. It's a lot of money but like you I have waited forever for this car. There are 9 in line with my dealer the last I checked and I was the only one on the list for months.

I have always said if they built a four door black series I'd be a buyer. Kinda feel I should go for the brakes.
