It's very geometric.... Tons of torque and I wonder if it'll suffer from c63S and hellcat syndrome... No traction

Where is the awd?

I was in love with the sts Nicholas cage drove in face off

Never mind... It's fast as f---

Put slicks on this and it's 10.9

Cadillac Forum is buzzing. I traded in my V for my E. I'll wait for the general to get the bugs out first.

Like many of you, I've driven the CTS V Sport. It was good enough, but it didn't make me rethink my recent biturbo E550 purchase. The Caddy is consistently rated at 4.3-4.5s to 60, but didn't feel faster. It had more tech, but it was hit (configurable dash cluster and MR susp) and miss (haphazard haptic Cue). If it were a wagon and awd, it'd be on my short list.

I also drove the prev-gen CTS-V (2009-14) and it was a keeper. It was COY in '09, but by the time I was serious about it the thing had begun to show its age. It's angular wagon design still worked, but the sedan was losing it. The navi was prob never awesome, but it was bad by then. And the tiny dash cluster with too much info crammed into them was a miss. The 552hp / 556tq supercharged LSA V8 was intoxicating at idle and only got better as the revs piled on. The trick MR was equally amazing in its ability to give a soft, yet firm ride (little bumps jiggled it and big bumps were soaked up). Unless you've driven it, I'm not sure I can describe it. MPG was atrocious and the small tank meant you'd be looking for gas inside of 200mi. I loved the wagon, but alas the RWD only layout wasn't going to work for me. If my situation changed, I'd happily take this today! Even so.

And the latest, greatest CTS-V? Hell, yeah. I can't wait to see how M and AMG raise their game as a result.

I grew up on Amercian muscle cars, the first one being a Mustang GT, then moving up to a Saleen.

If I was 20 years younger, single and still into American muscle, my first choice would be:

http://www.topspeed.com/cars/ford/20...-ar168377.html

It doesn't have the techology as the CTS V, but that is a teenager's dream, back in the days.

I'm really impressed with where GM has taken Caddy. It can now certainly be in comparison tests with the top German makers and do well in comparisons.

I haven't owned one but have driven many of their recent efforts. Their interiors still need some work, there still is odd bits of GM Chevy plastic cropping up.

Their suspensions and engines are very nice.

A CTS V is a complete nonstarter with its RWD for Winter where I live.

Lack of AWD would be reason 1 keeping me out of a CTS V. The CUE system would be reason 2, it's been panned by every automotive magazine. One even called it a deal-breaker. Reason #3 is the horrendous service and complete lack of respect I got in my younger years when I needed to service my last GM product. I swore I would never give the General my money again.

I had the last CTS-V sedan. Was a nice car, really enjoyed it except a few things.
Worst part was that it was a Cadillac. Everyone just thought I drove an old man's caddy.

FF. W212 E63 M156 non-pano 18" P2 ParkT NightV (gone but will be missed).
Crazy how fast it reaches 60mph with just RWD. This latest generation of magneto ride control is scary fast and certainly is light years ahead of the airmatic. Hopefully, unlike the previous gen, it might have a folding rear seats because I really need that.

I had a 2013 CTS-V Wagon, it had a real lot of issues and lived at the dealer, I got out of it for the Benz and have not looked back would never buy another GM product.

It's a sick car, no doubt. But optioned out, it's $100k! That's crazy for a Cadillac IMO. The loaded Gen 2 cars were low 70's. $30k bump in price for a redesign? That's a 40% MSRP increase. I get it's got the LT4 in it, but the old motor was supercharged too. It's not like the transition from Gen 1 to Gen 2 where the Gen 1's were N/A and the Gen 2's they added the supercharger. I just don't get that big of a price increase. I get they are trying to position themselves just below BMW and MB in the market, but I think they may have overreached a bit. Will it sell? Sure, the hardcore GM guys who want a Z06 with 4 doors and a trunk will buy it. But that's first assuming they fixed the heat soak issues that plague the current Z06's. Go read the Z06 forum on Corvetteworld. Every other post is about heat soak problems. I just think the reason they sold so many Gen 2 cars was because of the bang for the buck factor. You're talking about an entirely different customer at $70k than you are at $100k.

Maybe it just drives awesome and that trumps everything (so long as it looks amazing)

Ludicrous mode is available only with AWD. The RWD Tesla tops out at 373 HP.

I think this Caddy is priced a little high. I thought the CTS-V is usually priced somewhat close to the C63. The higher or equally good quality and crash rating better be there to justify the increased price.
