Installed 5Pc performance idler kit on my car.
With all the idler pulley failures on so many Mercedes over the years, we decided to make kits for our V8 Turbo engines for preventive and aesthetic reasons. Here is the kit on my E63 Biturbo.

CL55 UPD Cold Air Boost kit, UPD 3000 stall converter, UPD 77mm SC clutched pulley and beltwrap kit, Custom long tubes, UPD crank pulley , UPD suspension kit, UPD SC pulley, Aux. HE, Trunk tank w/rule 2000 pump, Mezeire pump, UPD 5pc idler set, Aluminum rotor hats.

What about the damping frequencies of the OE rubber pulleys? Aren't these crucial to keep the engine running smooth and keep unwanted vibrations out of the motor? There is a reason the OE parts use rubber..

OEM pulleys are plastic not rubber.
I think you are referring to the harmonic balancer. These are idler pulleys. There is no increase in noise with these aluminum ones.
