Guys, thoughts on this? (Scratch ding dent)
As how it was on private property Police weren't involved, body shop and my insurance company (Farmers) didn't report the incident so it will not appear on CARFAX.
Bummer

This is why I recommended visiting a few detailing shops before going with a body shop.
Try a few more places in the area like: https://www.chicagoautopros.com/

From the photos it is difficult for any of us to really advise and of course we are all different.
Our level of tolerance and automotive ocd varies from person to person.
pretty sweet place I'll likely be going for detailing from now on though!

Ask them for a shop that they refer to since they would most likely use one that has similar standards and attention to detail as they would.
Then go from there and use the opportunity to touch up anything else that may need attention.

My S63 is also Diamond white and if I remember correctly, I was told the DW has something like 9 coats vs the standard 7 coats and is hard to match. At lease it’ll be done right. Good luck man.
Peter, that does not look bad at all. If you are ocd about it though, I would get it fixed, for $500, about the same cost as going thru insurance deductible.

im gunna pay cash $1400 and keep it off the carfax and hopefully it'll be done right

On one my M3 projects I purchased OEM CSL parts and had them painted. The shop I use prepared nine different swatches then we narrowed down to three then we chose which was the best.
If you are really OCD about color match then request for a few swatches for them to spray and you can see what matches the best.

I just looked at the damages again and it looks tough. The wheel well arch is hard to do. Would probably do a cash deal as well and call it a day.

Either way I agree on the cash deal. It'll hurt up front but it wont sting on the back-end when the CF report is ran and dings your resale value.

At the same time I would get other areas of the vehicle touched up if need be or do a front plate delete etc. Get it all done in one shot to get the most value and turn the frown upside down.
Peter, if you can find someone to do that work under $1000, that would be reasonable. My guy knows what he is doing and his work quality is great, regardless of price. I showed him your damages, his estimate is $600, why charge more? I was really surprised by his price at first too cause the paint was metallic, but hey its been holding on for 6+ years on my first repair. Shop around, I am not familiar with your area rates, but don't bend over backward cause everyone is paying higher.
so I got all my old detailing gear out including various buffers and polishing pads and went to town on this thing. This is the best I'll Get it without formal bodywork ... the linear crease is very hard to see now
