Bought E63 Today - No where to plug in cell phone?

And WOW is this powertrain a poetic terror. I just love it when my palms break a sweat on a 60-100 throttle stab! Man....
Anyway, I have all the stock phone functionality on the dash (Command) and the steering wheel. It tells me to insert a phone. But alas, there is no cradle and I do not see any sort of plug anywhere in the console or glove box for any kind of cable (except a 1/8 jack which I assume is for music - meh). I do, though, need to use the phone system hands-free. Anyone know where they might be a plug-in of some sort trickily hidden? And what I can plug into it to interface with iphone? Many thanks in advance!

There is a multi pin to lightening cable adapter that goes in the center armrest that may not have come with your car:

double check this is the right part for your car

Plugging directly to command with the cable I suggested will give you better audio fidelity than Bluetooth and more control over your iPhone and will charge at the same time

PeterUbers, thank you. I did some preliminary research and expected to find this multi-pin plug somewhere in the armrest/console that I could plug that pig-tail into, but I didn't find it. Maybe it has a cover-plate on it and I am not recognizing it as such? As you suggested, I might just go with "my car must not have it", BUT the Command screen tells me to 'insert a phone', implying that their once was a cradle, which I would think probably plugged into one of those old-fangled multi-pin plugs that I'm not finding. I dunno. I guess I'll go to the dreaded dealer unless someone who worked through this same quandary happens to see this.

The car is 2007, no bluetooth unless (I think I understand) I can plug in some kind of bluetooth adapter into that system somewhere. But I'm not seeing anywhere that anything can plug into it. (Again, except for a 1/8 aux plug-in in the glove box, which I think has nothing to do with telephone calling functions).

Does this cable enable better compatibility with iOS? Faster charging? Cuz if it doesn't, why spend $50 on it?

THANK YOU MERTD93!! That link put me right on track (AND in the right forum!). I got a dongle off of Ebay, paired it right up tonight and BAM! You are the best and I appreciate that you took the time to help a fellow benzer.
