Blinker not returning to neutral

My blinker does not return to neutral after I have changed lanes or made a mild turn, only when making a much larger turn. The sweep required to bring the blinker back to neutral is significantly greater than my e55, x3, m5, 911, or any other car I own. I am curious if other e63 owners find the blinker return to work properly or if I just have a bad return spring.

Had a E55 where my spring failed. The E63 seems normal.

Sigh, user error.....gently touching the blinker stalk for lane changes, everything works as designed.....just a tad different than my other cars.

I remember in 2003? When I drove the first e55 with the supercharger w211 when it was brand new and it was the first car with tap for lane change I've ever driven ... it was awesome

and the torque was nuts

The 55s are a mule

my friend is hitting around 600 whp on his SL I took down a viper ACR on the highway two weeks ago. If that car was an E55 omg.

for a quick lane change, if you just flick the level without engaging the detent, the blinker will blink 3 times and turn off. flick it pass the detent for a actual big turn, then it will return back by itself upon completion.

if you want the turn signal flashing beyond 3 times for a lane change, you will need to flick pass the detent and flip it back when done changing lanes

Low or dirty blinker fluid. I recommend Motul blinker fluid and a complete flush

I hear most BMW dealerships are looking to liquidate their stockpiles on the cheap ever since the brand decided to change the service life to a lifetime change rather than the 300k mileage replacement interval on all models dating back to 1980.
