There are a few videos on youtube you could refer to for this (just search w212 E class Headliner Removal. I just dun want to clutter this technical thread w/ youtube links). There is a series from MB on there too, but they do it to a wagon (which involves a whole lot of steps to remove all the trim on the back which would not apply to the sedan). I took down most of the headliner in order to fix the moonroof pop in mine. Not hard at all and I am not as mechanically inclined as most people on here. Just gotta use caution for the metals behind the liner are sharp as hell and the plastics mar easy.

Thank you gentlemen. I did watch the video on YouTube of dropping the headliner slightly to tighten the moonroof which I did a while back.
I just wanted to see if the manual shows any info on completely pulling the headliner out of the car without causing any creases.
I might do the starlight headliner (Ricey I know lol) wanted to see what needs to be done to take it out.

Super helpful thread and thanks for sharing the info!
I was reviewing the automatic transmission fluid document and it mentions two different temperatures for the transmission depending on if you have an auxiliary cooler added. For a stock 4 Matic, should we be using the 194 degrees or 113 when refilling?

Thanks for the tip! Planning on doing this service soon. I have a weistec transmission pan so draining and filling seem to be easier and I think I have to add an extra 2 quarts. I’ve heard there is a transmission fluid dipstick tube but no dipstick. Does it make sense to check it with a dip stick tube at some point? It looks like the tube has a cap with a lock on it on some models. Haven’t had a chance to check mine yet.

Does anyone have a manual for Water pump and thermostat replacement?

QUOTE=5soko;7880391]Hey guys, figured id post the most up to date maintenance documents and repair procedures according to Mercedes Benz direct from the factory dealer WIS. WIS is what the techs use at the dealer and how benz wants these cars repaired, its a factory service manual in short.
These are good for 14-16 E63 S 4matics, but most will be good for early E63 M157 aswell!
I will add more if i think it may be helpful to the community.
Enjoy![/QUOTE]

Hate to be a bother but do you happen to have any information on front axle removal/reinstall. And possibly anything about differential seals. Been looking everywhere but no info.
