Is anyone running 265/295 staggered for tires? Which did you go with?

Tirerack has 0 options for staggered OEM.

your best bet for this setup would probably be Pirelli Sotto 3 or Conti TS860S

Not quite true. I am running Bridgestone Potenza 980REAS 265/295 on my OEM wheels. These are all-season tires. Perelli Sotozero II are available in winter tires.

I wonder if this is ZIP code dependent? When I try to look that up under 18/19 E63S for Winter/Snow Tires, it shows nothing available.

I have the Bridgestone potenzas in 20”. Tire rack didn’t have any in stock and said the manufacturer wasn’t going into production for awhile. Not expected until the spring. I found some new on eBay. Delivered in 2 days. Perfect timing since the 63’s were all just released. Should have mine by the end of the month and I’ll immediately swap. I’m coming from a s6 with 20s, conti dws06. They were great for me here in New York. Never had an issue in the snow.

I am having sotto 3 put on at dealer 255 front / 295 rear. Dealer said no problem going with 255 on front vs 265. Looked at the Potenza, but they are on back order at tire rack (xmas time) and I have already waited 3+ months for my e63s to leave the VPC. Plus the dealer is eating the cost/mounting as an additional discount for waiting.

Discount Tire.com shows 2-3 day delivery of the Bridgestones. The difference with the two choices is that the winter tires will need to be removed when the ambient temperatures stay above 60 while the all-season tires can stay on all the time.

I've got a set of 19" BBS RS-GTs from another car that have the wrong offset but the CCBs easily clear the inner surface.

I had good luck with 2 Porsche Turbos on Dunlop snows, so hopefully they will do the job on the new Hammer which is supposed to have an improved 4matic over the 212 model.
Still waiting on those Dunlops from Tire Rack. They sent tracking info that doesn't work. Grrrr

Hello, after 8 months my E63S is ready for pickup this week. But im in north Jersey, and I just learned from this forum that I will ruin my tires when I drive home from the dealership. Yikes. Has anyone tried the MB winter setup, and do they offer discount?
Cheers,

I don’t think you’ll ruin them. Summer tires aren’t recommended below 40 degrees F but I know plenty of people who don’t even know they are riding on summer tires and ride them all 12 months here in NY. When I tell them they should have winter or at least all seasons, they laugh at me and think I’m insane for having a second set of tires. When I get my 63 from Maryland I’ll be driving them home to NYC on the summers and put my all seasons on the next day. 240 miles and I’m not worried. The day temps are mid 40s and this Sunday it’s going to be 60. I have the Bridgestone potenzas in 20 inch that I purchased from eBay which are the same size as the stock tires. tirerack doesn’t have any currently. There are other members here who have changed their tires to other sizes. Like 285 instead of 295 etc. they haven’t had any issues.

Cheers,
I believe that the key is to go easy on them until they warm up. The e63 will display tire temp and even in 40 degrees and rain the tire temp was in the 60’s.
I would not want to drive home in the snow but careful driving until they warm up should not be a issue.

I'm using 255/40-19 front and rear as I didn't find any studded tires in 265/40-19 and 295/35-19 (also I don't want that wide winter tires)
My wheels are of course original AMG wheels and the tires Nokian Hakkapeliitta 9 (studded tires) Wouldn't even consider anything else for winter use.

Wait a sec, they swap widths front/rear for the winter tires? 295 front, 265 rear seems like a typo.

Hello, yes a typo. Dumb question, is there a temp spare on the E63S? It doesn’t appear to be using Michelin RFT.

Cheers

No spare. No jack. No wrench.

all we have is roadside assistance phone #. Well, if you can use that sealant and air pump , maybe it will work and good enough to get you to nearest safe place to stop

Not rf. That’s why Factory threw in the sealant and air pump.

if you want to get rf, Michelin 4s does not make it. You will have to look at other brands.

It it will be even harsher ride on rf.

Hello,
maybe there is at least a jack. From the new 2019 AMG supplemental manual: I’ll check Friday.
