Ordering Decision - Metal Weave Trim real life picture?
Hi All,
Assuming MB comes through and makes up for the boondoggle of a GLC launch and gets me as an E63S Wagon customer, I am debating interior trims...
Nut brown with metal weave is my first choice (Night Pack/Black Wheels/Piedmont Green exterior)
Does anyone have pictures of the Metal Weave trim in real life? (not the trapeze cut aluminum)
All the pictures online are either doctored or poor resolution.

It’s better than the aluminium option. I went with it when I placed my original order, but when the new MY came around, and the centre console was offered with open pore black ash, I went to that instead.
It certainly looks better with the piano black centre console than the aluminium does. The contrast is quite nice. However, I may be a badge judge, as I think the carbon fibre option gives you way too much carbon fibre, but everyone else seems to love it!

The Metal weave looks quite nice on the dash and doors. Not flat with a lot of structure. It would be a nice alternative to the Carbon Fibre IMO if it wouldn't have the black center console. That looks nice when new but seeing it scratched in the typical E-Class loaner it's just looks like cheap plastic. With a metal weave center console it would look fantastic.
We were about to pull the trigger on a white E63s with that interior when the ED1 came along. For the dash it's nicer than wood. Personal preference of course

I have heard much abut the piano black center console. Very pleased that the 2018 E43 used the carbon fiber in the console as well. Didn't even have to worry about after-market.

If you select the metal weave trim, does the center console stay piano black? If so, any pictures of that? I know it changes to CF if you select CF. Just curious about the other selections. The flowing lines is intriguing.
