2019 E Class Sedan DOG Updated with E53
If you would like the updated version of the E Class Dealer Ordering Guide please email me : sroumeliotis@eurogermantown.com.
Says E53 will be released 3rd Quarter. We also got allocated our first E53 Sedan today. Already in yellow status (meaning options will soon, probably within the week). If interested let me know. June build date. Probably be here July.
Also if anyone wants a deal we have 4-5 E43s coming in and one here currently. I can send the build on each of those by request.

Does the latest DOG show a picture of the new steering wheel? Was wondering if it has the AMG GT 4 door style customizable buttons...

I believe adaptation to route was added to the cruise for 2019, so you can have it re-set cruise based on road speed signs (if you go from a 55 to a 45 the car will set the cruise at 45 as you pass a sign), it will avoid using the accelerator to maintain cruise speed in corners smaller than a certain radius, etc.

There is no pricing yet for the E53 in the US, but in the UK they raised the price by 4,000 GBP when compared to the E43, which is about $5,400.
The problem is that the E43 was already not quite competitive in the US in terms of pricing when compared to the BMW M550i. If the E53 is priced $5K higher than the E43, it will be significantly overpriced relative to the competition. It's less of a problem in Europe and some other countries because the M550i is either not available, or very heavily taxed due to its displacement, fuel consumption, and emissions (depending on the country). If you take into account that discounts are hard to get on the AMG cars, while the M550i is widely discounted in the US, the price difference will be ridiculous. Over $10K more for the E53 than the M550i when similarly equipped, and you get a much more powerful V8 in the M550i.
I wonder what they will do on the pricing - it will be interesting to see. I think that if they raise it by any meaningful amount over the price of the E43, they won't be able to sell many in the US.

Sold my E43, car was great but not great enough for the price in my opinion. Tried to spice it up a little but just wasn't enough and with impending depreciation coming when the 53s hit, I took the jump now. Got something that really puts a smile on my face plus my wife likes it.
