Well if you look at past history for the most part, mid August is usually when MB release the Q3 Summer cars... last year was the same too.. July is just too early because the 2018 models are still at dealers.. so that’s why there are incentives are some cars right now to help move them.. and also it gives the dealers time to have a good allotment of 2019s at similar times...

im sure MB in general doesn’t want that situation like what happened last summer with that guy in Canada got his C63 a month early.. mid July based on miscommunication ... but even then he got the car back when it was released on August 15th.

i was told it should be mid August but could be the first week of Sept.. only MBUSA knows.. but I don’t anticipate crazy delays. That’s why I didn’t get a June build date because I was told it was not going to be available in a July... so I should wait to at least July to get it mid August or even wait for August build for Sept delivery and I did July build so should be arriving on August 7th at Long Beach port.. so at worst I’ll have it within a month of that date but probably a week later.

Nice. What was your build date? Do you know which ship?

I was told today my wagon was loaded on to the Valiant Ace. NetStar ETA shows Los Angeles arrival on 8/17. Timing is good, and hopefully before any tariffs. Only negative in this situation is the Pirelli tires...

Nice. My car was produced on 7/10 and code B6 on 7/11. I’ll check in with my dealer about the ship next week—didn’t want to bother him too often. Lol.

Likely, I should be on the same boat, I imagine. 8/17 would be good. And ideally not a long wait until release after arrival and even more hopefully withOUT a tariff...

Just notified that my 2019 is scheduled to arrive in Long Beach, CA on Aug 17, and 10 days later at my dealership in San Diego. Sounds like we are on the same ship.

Have you asked the dealer if he will swap the tires?

The Orchid Ace is about 20 miles offshore, cruising into Brunswick. A little exciting, now my car gets to hang out in GA for an undetermined amount of time.

The harbor pilot just boarded the ship to bring her home.

I am not sure I will pay an additional 20 to 25% as I just do not believe the value is there, not that the current purchase price is a bargain.

We are working out a deal. I'll pay for the tires if they pay for the Tire & Wheel Warranty. So far, they seem amenable to this.

What's the alternative? ALL car prices will go up if these tariffs happen, including "domestic" brands.

Same question I have. I was choosing between M5 (not a BMW fan) and the E63S, now have E63S ordered but add 20-25% from what already is a stretched lease budget means it's not going to happen.

So what would be the alternatives?

It's not limited to Euro brands. If nothing else, a national security case cannot be made if it's just Europe, particularly since the vast majority of auto imports aren't from Europe.
