Discount when ordering car?
Hey guys!
I'm in the market for either an M5 or an E63 S. I'm based in Dubai and car prices are higher here than the US; to give a bit of context, the base prices for an M5 and an E63 S are $180k and $140k respectively. Yeah...it's kinda weird. Although, I must say that I'm pretty much sold on the E63. However, any money saved can be used elsewhere right?
Coming back to the original question. Did you guys get a discount on your car when you ordered them? If so, what percent?
Thanks for any help!

I’m actually curious on this as well. I did some searching and found people getting anywhere from 4%-10% or so.
i am also in the market (upgrading from my W212) and being the first time I am actually going to custom order a car, I didn’t realize dealers only get limited allocations for certain models. Not sure if they will use this as leverage or not in order to not discount a custom order.
I already have dealers trying to push their own builds on me and skirting around the allocation question.

I’m in the U.K. and leasing so not sure what discount has been applied but I’m sure some clever person can work it out!
I’m paying £1,350 a month for 3 years on 20, 000 miles a year lease (60,000 miles in total) with a list price (before discount) of £103,450
I know i negotiated down from a starting point of £1,457 a month. Whether I got a good deal or not, well, it left like I had got him down a fair bit but others may have done better?

I'd like to get at least 5% on the custom order. There are 2 companies here that are authorized by Merc to sell vehicles; one of which requires me to have a visa from that particular state. So dealership wise, I'm not going to be able to leverage one over the other. In addition to all of this, my SA knows that the M5 is $40k more...so I can't play the "BMW's giving me a good discount" game.

I just started negotiations today with two dealers. Assuming I will have some numbers back tomorrow, hoping to get at least 5% based on people in this thread. For kicks, I also have them giving me a trade in value on my W212, probably going to sell it private party, but going to be interesting to see how much they try to steal it from me for.
