There is only one company in Germany that produces (and they do so for Merc/Audi/Mclaren (don't know about bmw) so I don't know what would be available aftermarket. You can get sensors that 'trick' the computer to thinking the exhaust is open but then you have to weld the valve open....given the cars are under warranty there is no reason to screw around with it.
The 1st set failed after 3,000 miles....the 2nd set failed before it left the dealers. Hopefully 3x is the charm for me. Did the recall on the rad intake and changed diff oil so all good now.

and if one gets stuck closed during wide open throttle, ecu will cut power
again, all speculation/“forum” guessing but, may be true
