November offer was a better one and I declined and Respectfully I have to decline this one too. I am looking for a deal , a really good deal on OEM wheels . My OEM wheels were stolen and I am running on winter aftermarket wheels . I lost way too much property and really I am looking for deals , I hope you understand .
Thank you , anyway. QUOTE=HBerman;8279335]I have a spare set of 4 identical wheels with Michelin PS4 tires mounted for $4500. I'm in NC.[/QUOTE]

^^^Thank you! The interior came out better than expected. The chestnut brown with the carbon fiber work incredibly well together and nicely compliments the exterior. It's nuts. It looks much darker in person but this is how it looks in direct sunlight, at least in photos. At some point I'll post some decent pictures using my real cameras but here's a preview. So happy I went 'all-in' on carbon fiber. Lol

Colors look great. Graphite almost makes me want to change my order from 040 Black. I de-badged the front fenders on my 2020 and selected that option on my 21 build. Seems to pretty universally accepted that the badge looks clutter-y stuffed inside that accent trim on the fender. Glad I'm not alone!

Great color if you're after subtle. Lol I despise labels, especially on cars. Obnoxious. I may try to take the whole swoop things off as they kinda annoy me. Love this car.

Not possible without some serious bodywork. The fender would have to be cut, filled, and repainted. Big $$ and then you have repainted fenders that may or may not match perfectly, or you fade it...just snowballs.

I love this car too! Miss my 2020 and I'm getting really antsy waiting for my 2021 build. I don't even have an allocation yet! Not a great year to order a limited production vehicle with demand up and supply down due to all these crazy chip shortages etc. Ugh. I went ahead and sold the 20 to capture the great offer I got for it, and driving my old LR4 while I wait. It's not the same...Champagne problems!

On second thought, the body is designed for them. Never realized this until now. May look even goofier without them. They look as though they were designed solely to advertise the motor.

Great thanks, appreciate it. I'll pass that along to my dealer and see if they're interested in your contacts for a potential allocation trade with another dealer. I'll PM you for details if necessary. Thanks again!

OCDbroker, can I get your contact for an allocation please? For some reason I can' seem to send a PM to anyone? Maybe because I'm a new member and need to post first?
Thanks,

Actually the V-8 engine and the 4-matic+ transmission. I've really never understood why people de-badge a unique vehicle. It's not like it hides anything. I've seen more instances of people putting a badge on their vehicle that does not belong. I'd rather have people stop me as I open my car to ask how I like my purchase. YMMV

2014 E350 Wagon, 2014 BMW M5
After 400 miles here are some random thoughts, observations.

-Feels and looks much larger than our 2014 E350 wagon. Same body bigger wheels but feels like they've made it bigger. My wife said she like hers more after driving 60 miles. She prefers a cushier ride. Lol
-Excellent overall build quality. Nothing rattles yet. Fit and finish are great. Very luxurious and I love the carbon fiber interior trim.
-Love the feel (and looks) of this steering wheel. Although the steering is a bit numb (as all electric racks these days) it still has some feel and a good weight to it. May need to turn off one of the many driving aids because I don't like the feel of it at times and hoping that's the culprit.
-Ride quality is solid but not too harsh, even in stiffest settings. Mercedes did a great job dialing in the suspension for 2021. In comfort it's just soft enough for my taste.
-Can't really comment on the motor because I'm a little crazy about following break-in procedure and haven't really pushed it yet. Will reserve my opinions for post break-in.
-Needs a proper dual clutch transmission. I notice slight lag and hate how the gears change even in manual mode. Maybe I'm doing something wrong?
-Sad they did away with iWC clock for 2021.
-Hate hate hate the cheap feel and placement of gear lever on the steering column. This car deserves a proper shifter mounted on the center console.
-Seats are okay. I have an issue where the seat bottom feels like it's sloping forward and down and the only way to rectify is to move seat higher but then my head is hitting the roof. When moving seat higher it also feels like it slopes forward and just doesn't got straight up. The support under my thighs is inadequate. Feel like the seat bottom is sloping down and forward. Hopefully some adjustment I'm missing but doubtful as I've played with the seat for hours. Really wish they gave us the buckets in the US for 2021. That's a shame for such an expensive car. We should have all the options.
-Annoying that there's no wireless Apple CarPlay.
-Desperately in need of all wheel steering for obv reasons.
-Wheel choices suck and the fact that the base wheels aren't forged is a disgrace for such a high-end performance-oriented product.
-Off-center camera in the front is annoying
-Ceramic brake pedal feel and stopping power is nothing short of miraculous. So smooth and effortless stopping. And no dreadful squealing yet. Porsches with ceramics sound like city buses when stopping.
-Joy to drive on the highway at very high speeds. Hard to stay under 100mph. A little cumbersome around town and b-roads where you can really feel the heft. Rear wheel steering is essential for such a big boat in the year 2021. I prefer comfort on the highway but Sport or Sport Plus everywhere else's.
-Paint quality is excellent. No paint correction necessary. When I picked up car from dealer I couldn't believe how dirty it was. They honored my request to leave it exactly as it was when it got off the truck. No wash. No detail. To my surprise, Mercedes delivers these cars from the port in open car carriers. Mine looked like it covered 1,000 miles in rain and snow. But when I cleaned it up the paint underneath all that grime was pristine. Didn't notice any imperfections after direct sunlight scrutiny. Not even light scratches or swirl marks. Amazing. The Graphite is an incredible metallic shade if you're into dark grey. I'm used to Porsche's poor paint quality lol.
-Electronics seem very good and intuitive. However, too much for me. I miss simple buttons for functions.
-Love the carbon fiber accents on the exterior. Only option I didn't get on this car was carbon fiber engine cover but would get it too if I built another car.
-No 20" snow tires fit this car properly and this is annoying. However, Mercedes offers low cost 19" package including 10-spoke wheels and Alpins but I'm not certain that they fit on cars equipped with ceramic brakes. Will be ordering to find out for myself. 19" would be a better choice for winter months for me as the roads in CT tend to get very poor and have huge potholes. Smaller diameter makes a lot of sense.

I'd like to acknowledge Prime Motorcars in Scarborough, ME. My buying experience could not have been any better. Thank you Sam Hersom, Jared Young and Michael Ferraro. Ultimate professionals. Highly recommend this dealership.

More details to come as I get through break-in.

Pirelli Sotozero Ii comes in our OEM sizes as does Michelin PA4 for winter tires. With regard to the seat adjustment, I found that extending the thigh support control and tilting up the front of the seat adds the needed support for me. Since I came from a 2018 E63S, I can confirm that the wagon is 1" longer. However, it does feel that it is larger I think because of the rear window being further back. I agree that the suspension in Comfort mode is much improved in compliance and harshness control. BTW, my parts guy told me that the 19" winter wheels do not fit with the CCB's due to the fact that the calipers are thicker than stock. Perhaps there is another part number available. MB does do compatibility by VIN. The transmission shift quality will improve with mileage as it learns your driving style. It will smooth out by 2000 miles when you do your differential oil change. Hope this helps.

Why they dont just use standard 285’s or something is beyond me, couldnt make it more confusing. Anyhow, the tires do fit with a bulge but worked well. Tirerack doesnt carry them but they exist, check the Michelin website and your local Michelin shop to get them.

I looked for a photo on my phone but apparently I never took one of the winter setup. If I were to order them again, I'd probably get the 285/30R20 or 275/35R20 for the rear. A little narrower and would fit better, and narrow is better for snow tires anyway.

You can click on the various tire sizes to see the specs: https://www.michelinman.com/tires/pi...alpin-pa4.html

Oh, and these are the tires MB provides with their "factory" winter wheel/tire sets, but on a different 19" wheel.

@ocdbroker thank you for sharing. I appreciate your insight after having taken delivery. That being said, I'm starting to second guess my current looking for a wagon allocation - on balance, how disappointed are you with the things you pointed out? Would you buy the car again? My build 'only' comes to 129 and change but that's still a lot of money and I hope I'm ecstatic about the car. I think perhaps the RS6 interior is a little nicer but haven't really checked it out closely yet. Thanks

I love the IWC clock in my '19 but I wish I could have gotten it in Graphite. I just read through this thread, have you looked at Vorsteiner's Forged wheels? They have some incredible designs.

Umm... but you didn't own/drive the predecessor vehicle. The refinements in the suspension, steering feel, quality of materials are incrementally better than my 2018 E63S. The shifting on the MCT transmission is crisper, the electronics are a cut above the previous command system. There's so much more functionality that I'm still exploring after 1 month of ownership. I've now driven over 1100 miles and the smile on my face is not diminished. One thing that is still the same, unfortunately, is the amount of tire noise that finds its way into the cabin. I have the Acoustic package on my wagon and I thought that the tire noise would be less. Nope! The outside noise (wind, other cars, etc) is certainly less, but the tires continue to intrude. A couple of items changed in the interior: Dual sun visors, no IWC clock, the button on the driver's door to control the passenger seating, movement of the raise/lower button to vehicle settings requiring several steps vs one to activate, but all of this is really noise. The car feels more powerful and responsive even though it's not fully broken in yet. My previous car was black (never again!) and this is Graphite Grey. I continue to receive compliments from total strangers about the color and the body style. BTW, the massage options are significantly expanded with a variety of programs along with a heat component! That coupled with the dynamic bolsters really enhances the driving experience. My two cents here.

^^^All valid points. My rant above has nothing to do with anything except MB taking away things that are nice to have. Even little things like stupid dual visors. I pick up my daughter from dance every night and turn on her heated seat... even my wife's old wagon has the button on the driver's door. Now it's a stretch. No reason to take away stuff that makes sense for the driver. That is all I'm saying.
