My build 'only' comes to 129 and change but that's still a lot of money and I hope I'm ecstatic about the car. I think perhaps the RS6 interior is a little nicer but haven't really checked it out closely yet. Thanks
There is zero chance that the RS6 interior is built better than the interior on an E63. I sat in one last weekend at Cars and Coffee. Not in the same league although it looks very nice.

I had an RS6 Avant on order and on the pick-up date we decided to pass, and flipped it back to the dealer, who was very pleased to have the second in the state and to sell it someone else with ADM!! My wife did not like the seat comfort (base sport seats), and I did not like the complexity of the hybrid drive as well as the IMHO cartoonish wheel/tire body proportions. The interior was quiet nice and par to a new MB.

The following week we ordered a '21 E63 wagon via the Euro Sport folks (Shaul and Steve; the sponsors on this forum) for April build. Every 10 years I order a new E AMG wagon and this will be my 3rd. and most likely final.

I have been reading the OP's comments, and I appreciate them. But I am very concerned about all the electronics and massive touch screen. I miss the days of big power and just a few buttons.

^^^Congrats. You won't be disappointed. What color and interior trim did you go with. Yes, the electronics all suck. I'd rather have simple buttons and less BS.

Thank you - Lunar Blue/Brown; I stayed with base cast wheels as I will get BBS right away, and I did not order CCB even though I am a big fan. My PCCB experience started 17 yrs ago with a 2003GT2 and 8 other PCCB cars since then. I view this as a civilian wagon. I will debadge immediately and I have the E220d (fake) badge ready for the hatch. And for now we wait!

Wow, that's a gorgeous build. Actually had that build too but dealer wanted it so I let the slot go because I didn't want to wait another 4 months.
Did you know that the 2022 color replacing Lunar is an old school MB color Nautical Blue?

If not too late, I'd change to ceramics. Treat yourself. They are quite extraordinary on the wagon. You will never regret it.

So what BBS wheels would fit this car!? I've searched them all and can't find one to fit.

This is my first ever non-black MB, so Lunar blue is about as far as I can deviate from black! This is a massive change for me!

I may not be able to get big buttons on the inside and stuck with tv screens, but I am hoping to make classic BBS LM to work. I have owned several sets of LM and E88 and very pleased. I would really like to order the wheels ahead of time, but I really want to get my hands on the car, look under the car, and make my own measurements.

^^^Oh black is always my favorite go to color. But I hesitated for the wagon due to body style.

So I've asked and asked but couldn't get an LMs to fit. Here's what we're working with OEM sizing for our wagons. I will try again. Will be a bit easier for you without ceramics. And I don't mind the 19" wheels on this car. The ones listed below are from the OEM winter wheels (direct from MB):

Front Wheels: 9.5Jx19 ET25
Rear Wheels: 9.5Jx19 ET52

Front Wheels: 9.5Jx20 ET25.5 (or 25)
Rear Wheels: 10Jx20 ET55

They got rid of the drivers door passenger “R” seat adjust button? Ugh why?! Thats classic mercedes and sooo useful, I use it daily. Thats really annoying...

Yup. Lots of senseless decisions and corners cut. The lopsided front camera is yet another example. I like to rant but overall it's a great car. Just thankful they still make them.

Out for a drive this morning trying to figure out why the car feels so big compared to our 2014 wagon. Same body. Can't figure it out but this car drives big. Portly. Only time the size disappears is on the highway. Around town I'm still trying to figure out the most enjoyable settings. Sports Plus for suspension is a must for me so far. Haven't quite dialed it in yet though.

Only on the 2021 AMG E class is the front camera off-center.

Anyone know of a good Mercedes mechanic / tuner shop in Connecticut or New York? I want to lower it a bit and some other odds and ends. Thanks!

I'm going back to the drawing board boys. Selling my wagon and going black. If anyone wants one of the best spec'd, most elegant, wagons for $10k off MSRP (400 miles babied with perfect paint from the factory, no paint correction needed before PPF), please let me know before she gets back to dealer.

Probably changing my mind. Lol just fell in love with graphite. Not as boring as I once thought. Car has been dirty. Graphite has cobalt and green flakes making it quite striking.

haha really living up to your screen name now! 😄😉 And welcome to the black club. I had 040 black before and I’m going with it again, as tempted by graphite as I am. I found that wrapping the whole car with a self-healing PPF and coating it really helped keep black looking good. The microscratches heal in the sun/heat and keep it looking smooth and deep. 👍🏻

So whats the new build going to be? What changes do you want to make? Good luck!

I can't tell if you're really serious or not. The depreciation going out the door is most likely $28K, especially because you modified the car by debadging it. The replacement(?) will have the same issues that you've been documenting other than the color will be different. What's the point?

bullmkt I'm going more elegant this time around. No carbon fiber and the plastic chrome trim. Lol I don't know what I'm doing. All over the map.

I was thinking obsidian to make it look less like a hearse.

HBerman dealer is giving me $130k if I decide to do it. I order them with no badges. No mods. At this point I'm just throwing up stuff that I don't like about the wagon to just get you worked up. Lol No in all seriousness, I plan on keeping this for a long time and don't want any regrets. No carbon fiber this time around and chrome trim and matte wood interior trim with the light beige interior. Total opposite build really. For daily driver I prefer a lighter interior to cheer me up.

I actually originally was doing it for Lunar Blue but no more for 2022. Replaced with a very glittery Nautical Blue. If that color wasn't metallic I'd get it in a heartbeat. Got the paint sample today. It's a gorgeous shade of blue but too sparkly for my taste, especially on a big old boat like these wagons. I may even do a custom dark navy blue (dunkleblau) but not excited about spending another $10,500. IDK

There's a very nice color in the red family called Rubellite Red. Awesome in large panels with a light interior. It would be a custom paint, but well worth it IMO. I almost did this instead of the CCB's. Trust me, I'm not worked up about what others do to satisfy their inner child. I'm too old to be bothered anymore.

You must not be familiar with the resale value on these wagons? My 2020 wagon just sold for what I bought it for new a year ago/5,500mi. Ive been trying to order a 21 but allocations are tight, further bolstering used values. I was told the wagon allocations are in higher demand than G-wagons and wagon production is lower.

I dont know if you're seen the silver trim in person but its not chrome, its a satin silver. I like a little contrast and find it classic and elegant looking—and no I’m not old, in my 30’s. I think all this all-black murdered-out stuff is getting a little passé and can be a little gangster/ghetto looking if you ask me. And hearse, thats funny. Never thought of that but got lots of random compliments on mine wherever I parked. Here it is for reference:

Local market conditions perhaps. With new prices firm with little to no discounts I can believe that a 1 year old wagon could sell for what you stated. However, in normal markets, the taillights going out the door of a dealer usually means a 20% drop from MSRP..I trade every 3 years, place a new order, hand the dealer the keys to the old car, and take the keys to the new one. No angst over wheels, I'm more interested in the new tech and features. Cars are not an investment.

Yes, it's a nice satin aluminum trim. I agree. Your wagon is hot. Is that obsidian or non-metallic? Are you doing black interior again? I like the beige but a little worried about it looking like ****e in a few years. Going classic. Just need to decide between the natural black ash (matte) or the glossy brown ash. I really like them both but leaning toward the matte black. I will miss the carbon fiber but have plenty on my Porsches.
