Thank you for posting this! Was thinking nautical would be lighter.

Hey signes, it's a very dark blue except in direct sunlight when it transforms to bright glittery. If you're considering the color I have a short video or two that really shows off the color. It's all very confusing as to why Mercedes would use the same name as a classic MB color but change it (new Nautical Blue is much darker than original).

^^^Wow. Incredible. Many people can't find an allocation so it's surprising to me that you still have two.

Nautica looks darker than the Lunar Blue in this pic

^^^Thank you.

kponti, my post above is poorly written. Nautical is a darker shade of blue.

I'm currently waiting on allocation for my 2022 E63S wagon order. It'll be a long time coming, but it does give me literally months to make changes before anything is locked in. Does anyone know if the pre-wiring for the rear seat entertainment option (866) remove the power headrests? I don't really have a use for RSE but I figured it would be better to have the slots for it just in case. I would only want to add it if it doesn't delete something else. This might be a silly question, but I have yet to come across this option in person and it's not always clear what minute details change. It's also my first of any trim level E class.

Mine was pre-wired for rear seat entertainment and the headrest moved up and down electronically. Manual forward and back.

Thanks! I was hoping that would be the case, and presumably it's the same in both of your front seats?

I think the manual forward/back is the only way they come. Apparently in some cases on other Mercedes models the pre-wiring deleted the power up/down portion, or even added it to the passenger side in models where just the driver side was powered. I didn't see any notations in the ordering guide about the headrest or seats being being affected at all in the case of the W213.

I think all the other options are pretty self explanatory.

I confirm that the headrests on my 2021 E63S wagon are powered along with the pre-wiring installed.

Thanks for confirming! I ticked almost every option on my order as well. I didn't opt for the acoustic comfort stuff, manual rear sun shades, and anything "night package" or carbon fiber related. I asked my CA to pretend it was the 90s; so black interior with glossy Brown Ash wood and chrome on the outside.

^^^Nice. I'm doing about the same except totally in love with the brown leather. I despise the piping and stitching and dinamica (and don't feel like it'll wear well) on the black leather interior. Shame they don't offer a plain black option without all the frills. I actually spec'd a car (above), waited months to get only to return it to the dealer because I felt the spec was all wrong for my wagon. Now going classy. Although I love carbon fiber... my new build has none. Good luck!

just so I understand this correctly: would 285/30/20 sized Michelin PA4s rear tires work on the forged OEM wheel options? The 295 spec bulges a bit, right? And for the the fronts, the 265/35/20 should be fine?

Pirelli also has an option called the Winter Sottozero Serie II available in the sizes above. I wonder if that’s any good?

I’d like to get the winter tires early this year given the anticipated tire shortage we may experience.

Clearly we're cut from the same cloth. I also had an F10 M5 (with a stick) in my past, and would love a modern wagon M5 or 5-series to be offered in the US. I'm glad Mercedes still continues to offer the E-class wagon.

I don't like the dinamica on the seats either, but I added the dinamica headliner so that the small amount of it on the seats will at least tie into something else inside the car. (I went with the all leather steering wheel.) I actually was considering the brown but when I finally saw it in person it was too light for my liking, and in my opinion there's a lot of brown plastic that should have stayed black (especially the seat bases). I agree that a basic all-black would be preferred in lieu of additional color choices.

The wait for an allocation continues...

^^^Yes, we have similar tastes! I had both manual and DCT F10 M5s. (the manual wasn't great because the gearing was all messed up). I'd love an M5 estate (as long as it didn't have hideous new oversized kidneys). More of a BMW person in the past versus MB.

The wagon is frustrating because it's so good overall, but MB messes up dozens of little things... one being all the cheap plastic throughout the cabin. I could write a book about all the little annoying details that they get wrong. Yes, it'll be a long wait. I'm guessing very late 2021 or early 2022. Time will tell.

The M5 was a blast but definitely a challenge to push the limits in it with the stick! Still, no regrets there. All the reviewers more or less warned that it's not optimal with a stick but that the fun factor goes way up. I absolutely love my current diesel 5-series, but it's nothing like the fast gasoline cars I've had the pleasure of driving (and obviously it's not meant to compete with those). It'll make a good stable-mate to the E63 wagon.

I'm told late 2021 or early 2022 as well, assuming I get an allocation for it once they start doling them out. I'm planning to do a Brilliant Blue metallic (as a designo Manufaktur order) exterior so my lead time will be even longer. Your post comparing Nautical Blue to Lunar Blue helped me make that decision in fact; both of those blues are so dark.

265/35/20 is the OEM size front, so yes that works. On the rear the 295 PA4's bulge a bit on the 10" wide OEM rear wheels, so I'd go with the 275/35. It appears Michelin no longer makes the 285/30 PA4 but some are still available at tirerack. https://www.michelinman.com/auto/tir...ilot-alpin-pa4

They are excellent tires. No experience with those Pirelli's but I've never had a good experience with any other Pirelli so I'd shy away, personally!
