Any difference between 2019 and 2020 AMG E63S?

Other than the availability of AMG drive unit, I dont see any major difference between 19 and 20.
is there anything under the hood that is different?

Performance exhaust was standard in '20.

The horses are now in the barn, 2019 E63s
Cylinder Head others here at MBWorld have done it and I'm awaiting word as to whether retrofitting the Drive Unit on a 2020 E63 in which I'm interested is possible.

From what I've learned about this process over the past few months, a VIN must be sent to AMG to determine retrofit-ability. So far it's not possible on MY2018 E63 cars. There could also be an issue if the car has a heated steering wheel; it was an incompatible option pair on 2020 E63s. I don't know if the heating can be disabled (most likely through coding) to facilitate the addition of the Drive Unit and that is a question for which I am still awaiting an answer.

Here is the G-Wagen thread
https://mbworld.org/forums/g-class-w...g-buttons.html
The thread linked is the general process of how it is done which member: AMG RB above talked about as well

and here is where they purchased it...

https://schawe-shop.de/en/mercedes-benz/g-class/g-class-w464-2018-to-date/g63-amg-430kw-585ps/620100/amg-steering-wheel-buttons-g-class-w463a/464-genuine-mercedes-benz

not sure about compatibility with the E63s so confirm it first before buying the parts.

E63S Wagon
On the wagon, the fold down buttons for the back seats only exist in the trunk on the 2020 models, the additional (and IMO helpful) fold down buttons in the C-pillar area were deleted.

All 2020 models require no early differential fluid change, while some 2019s still required it. Something to keep in mind if you're leafing through service records for either model.

If I remember any other differences (besides the drive unit and standard sport exhaust) I will come back and post them.

What a random silly thing to change. Like... what possible difference could it make in the grand scheme for the cost of manufacturing?
