Anyone install K&N filters on their w213? Fitment issues...
I used the K&N website to determine the correct part# (33-3140) for the replacements filters; however, the filters I received are both the same size. Whereas, the driver side air box houses a smaller filter. The 33-3140 filter works fine in the passenger side air box.
Anyone with knowledge of the correct part# for the driver side K&N filter?
Hi, seeing this made me go look at mine. I bought K&N filters for my 2019 E63S Wagon 6 months ago but have not gotten around to installing them lately. At first I thought mine were the same size (and I never knew they needed to be different). It appears in the picture that they are different. Looking at your pic, your OEMs look much more differently from each other however (could be the pic). Anyway the wrapper covering the filters actually have different sub part #s... One ends in "RE" and the other ends in LE. The LE is smaller and must mean left? which is driver? Perhaps K&N mailed you two of the same by accident? Good luck.

yeah just done the same they are different sizes 🤦♂️🤦♂️ Never noticed before
I think you are exactly correct...my package contained two of the "RE" filters. Just by eyeballing your photo...the "LE" looks to be a perfect fit as the "RE" is approximately 3/4" too long to fit on the driver side.

Welcome! I am actually glad you posted this though. Had I tried the wrong one on the correct side first, I would have assumed they were the same and probably thought I had the wrong part number altogether. You save me some time!

Funny...I did the passenger side first...which fit...second guessed myself once I noticed the driver side side difference and got to take the completed side apart to correct my "error."
