Thats a strong sentiment. Out of curiosity, what’s wrong with it? While most opinions on exterior and interior styling are subjective, the car has been well regarded by the automotive press, including winning a comparison against the BMW M8 and MB GT63 AMG. Both of those cars are allegedly halo cars for their brands.
I have a ton of little nit picky things I don't like. The big thing that I really can't stand is kind of a lump sum issue, The car is fast, much faster than my C63s I had, and yet it is completely numb, I get very little drive feedback and would gladly take my old c63s back. It is so refined that it loses a good amount of personality. Having said that, I take motor journalists reviews with a real grain of salt, if they **** on a car hard they will not get another one from that company for a while. Either way if you are paying 125k+ for a car it better be perfect for you, and STUPID on me for going tired and angry about Mercedes cancelling my red e63. I'm losing 15k most likely
If your order is accepted and the car allegedly goes into production, what sort of verifiable proof can you request from the dealer to ensure that the car is actually in production and that you’re not being taken for a ride, so to speak? A screenshot of the production status? I was told that the VIN may not be available until around completion date of the car which seems odd given others’ experiences?

If you have an actual PO number and your name listed in Netstar as the presold "to" designee then your dealer has done all what is needed. I don't believe you actually get a VIN until closer to the production decade since VIN numbers are assigned in batches. However, your dealer is at the mercy of MBUSA and with all the production issues going on, anything is possible.

The car gets a VIN # the day is out of production.

I got the VIN for my wagon when the car started production (2 days before start). Car didn't show produced until 3 days later. I saved the timeline from the dealer communications and the VIN shows the day/date of final production.
Was all my guy at the dealer (with some quick decision making from me!) and our relationship. He pushed me on decisions because he recognized the inventory problem with ‘22s getting cancelled and getting ahead of the game before others caught on.
Helps get some priority when you’ve spent over $1.5M with them over the years.
With the options that seem like silly options, I always figured that OEMs were just trying to offer some flexibility to those who may need/want it. Using the rear airbags as an example, maybe a parent has two car seats in back that are incompatible with them. If you want them, its a nominal up-charge. With other makes/models, often this type of stuff is a no charge option to add or delete something.
Broke down and ordered a Tesla this morning. Mercedes should be penalized for handling this so poorly. There's no excuse for anything other than clear communication. I accepted this at first when I thought it was clear there would be no 2022 E63. I'm fine with this but not fine being jerked around by my dealer and MBUSA.
