Knowing OCD, at least the Audi won’t have an off-center front camera.
Yes! Clean. Very clean. I’d fire the designer who put that camera like that (also the people who deleted IWC clock lol). I wish Audi and Mercedes designers could collaborate.
ENCT: Make certain you bring this back to dealer and have them repair all damaged wheels. Zero tolerance for this sort of thing. They need to fix wheels and reprimand the individual responsible.

That grill would look right at home for a chicken coop. Looks like a batmobile to me.

The dealership texted me and the plan is to refinish all the wheels. I'm not sure this is the route I want to take. I feel that the more they mess with things the worse it will be. Has anyone had wheels refinished that can chime in on how things turned out? I almost prefer new factory wheels or just a repair on the spots that are damaged. The wheels are coated so that would need to be done again as well.
Thanks,
Eric
In the other Motortrend article I linked above (comparing the RS6/E63 directly), they actually said the E63's ceramics were way better despite being a little smaller. Better feel and bite.
As for the RS6's wheels, the standard 21's look pretty nice to me, I'd definitely go with those. Have to weigh less than the 22's as well, which by my calcs weigh right around 50lbs (owners report they weigh ~75lbs w/tires). That's a LOT of unsprung mass!
Bullmkt: I like the 21s much better but not available with the dark or carbon fiber trim which are essential for me on the Audi. Audi knows how to do brakes!
Eric, yes, that's the way to go. Just try to touch up the problem areas. I try to avoid refinishing wheels.

I think you will be fine with the refinish process as it's done by mobile subcontracts that do it all day long, dealership has nothing to do with it so rest assured it wouldn't get screwed up again If the coating you are referring to is ceramic I would let the re-paint cure for several months before sealing if you can.
I just checked in with my dealer and apparently my MY2022 E63 wagon build is still locked-in for November. It has not been converted to a 53 sedan. Interesting considering all the reports of other conversions here, and I'm salivating at the thought of somehow lucking out with a rare MY22 E63 allocation? My dealer seems to agree. Fingers crossed, very crossed.
^^^Interesting. I actually had an order for a 2021 that was converted to 2022 that I forgot about with another dealer. They say the order is still in place. Bottom line: Mercedes doesn't do a good job of communicating with their dealers...
Just an FYI, I went in today to order an E53 sedan and mentioned what I heard on here about the E63's being cancelled. My sales guy thought that could be true about the wagon but looked in Netstar just to confirm and saw both the E63 sedan and wagon are still options to order for the 22 MY. The dealer I usually buy Merc's from is one of the largest MB dealers in the world and they usually always had a good amount of AMG allocations pre COVID. My E53 allocation is scheduled for a 3rd D Oct production.

Hey r3d, can you DM me with your dealer's name and your contact? I think we're ordering from the same folks, which would explain why my guy was similarly perplexed when I suggested what "ocd" has been trumpeting in these parts.
Excited for my new classy black build. Feel like I’m really getting old, first time ever in my life getting chrome exterior trim on a car.
Hey! That’s my car you’re talking about and I’m 38 years young. Hmph.
My MY22 order is identical except I drifted a bit towards Obsidian Black (something different) and matte Black Ash trim (low maintenance). Oh and CCB’s.
On the RS6, I think it looks great, like someone stepped on a Lamborghini Urus.
Too ostentatious for me regardless of color (except maybe black?), but to each their own... and at this rate I might have to settle for one if this "No '22" business does indeed ring true.

I went to MB North Scottsdale today and they confirmed no new orders on e63/gt63. The sales associates weren’t aware but their ordering manager was in the office and confirmed to them after I asked.
I will add, that I just bought a RS7 this weekend, and I already want to dump it, and go back to Mercedes. The interior just isn't doing it for me,and after a few days I don't even want to drive it anymore. It makes me sick rushing into it and regretting it so fast.

Thats a strong sentiment. Out of curiosity, what’s wrong with it? While most opinions on exterior and interior styling are subjective, the car has been well regarded by the automotive press, including winning a comparison against the BMW M8 and MB GT63 AMG. Both of those cars are allegedly halo cars for their brands.
Here’s another interesting tidbit: I just did a quick scan of Autotrader for used 2021 E63 wagons and RS6’s. There is ONE E63 and 58 RS6’s for sale right now.
ocdbroker, I love black E63 wagon. You cannot go wrong!

Very true. Most of the RS6 were ordered for their novelty factor and owned by "flippers". We returned mine after 1 week. My E63 wagon now has 1,300 mi on it and I flipped it to my wife, I have an F350 which fits my brand much better. I will be selling her 2020 Cayenne GTS. She's happy to have something lower to the ground to transport her parents, the rear seat goes flat for bicycles, and it is long enough for wheel chair.
