I wouldn’t be that disappointed. These AMG cars are marginal, at best. My wagon has been anything but impressive. Just really, another car that was poorly built and not so reliable. I have had the car die in traffic, spit and sputter, not wanting to start. Dealership is awful when it comes to diagnosing the problem. I’ve got zero confidence at this point, both in the car and the dealership. Really a shame when you save enough to buy a “dream car/ unicorn” and it ends up being a POS !!! So, save your money and buy a Cadillac or something else that isn’t a piece of crap like my wagon. Car dealerships are lost in space !!! There is a FE wagon at the dealership, they want 27K over sticker. I’ve tried to get excited about this car, but having a neutered exhaust and now plenty of issues, I could have saved a bunch of coin and probably a lot happier with something else.

We have 2-3 or final editions available in our area - dealers are asking ~$20k ADM. I was able to negotiate it down to $10k, with some additional warranty thrown in. But, after realizing that so many options are missing and it's at least $30k more expensive than a low mileage fully kitted 2021 version, didn't pull the trigger.

Sorry, you've had such a poor experience. The only problems I've had with my 2021 E63S wagon were a leaky windshield washer container which needed to be replaced after 2/12 years and a new battery both under warranty. That's been all the extra services that I've done other than my A and B maintenance. My experience with my prior 2018 AMG E63S sedan (32,000 miles) was almost flawless as well except for a recall to update the ECU software to eliminate a CEL condition for the engine running too lean.
Egs Replaced two of my rear light assembly due to the bulbs going out. Tried fixing several creaks and groans for over a month. Replaced front diff, replaced door trim from warping. Replaced the front bumper trim 3 times until we figured out that it was a dealer tech breaking it on accident. Replaced the lugnut cover cos the MB badge disappeared one day. Also had the washer fluid container replaced from leaking in the first 10k miles
Engine and trans were solid though. Even the electronics were generally reliable except for the bulbs. But MBUX is very dated compared to the competition (BMW, Audi, Porsche).
So the thought of paying more for even less for a final edition is definitely not appealing to me. Switched to M8 coupe mod lease and happier.

Out of this latest round of final/special editions: C63 FE, E63 FE, Edition 55s and whatever else I'm missing. It seems like the E63 FE is the biggest ripoff out of all them. Being it has a higher package price with the least amount of options. It's basically a poverty spec with an inflated 50K price and that doesn't include any ADM thrown on top.

^^^Don't get me wrong, I'm a fan of E63 in either variant. Plenty of potential downsides with new S-class including size, weight and cost. Congrats on finding a 2023, no easy task.

The wagon weighs 4725 lbs. vs. the sedan at 4497 lbs. so the wagon is heavier, and has more interior noise (even with the acoustic package installed). I'm not sure why there are more wagon people than sedan people on this forum, but it's possibly because the wagon is a rarer beast and a harder variant to obtain. The sedan had the additional option of the high-end Burmeister Stereo system (which does sound fantastic) which was never available in the wagon. Enjoy your new ride. All is well.

Why... why did they make the camera off center in this S63 E-performance too? I was hoping the W213 FL off-center camera was just a one-off flaw. (Someone else in this forum said this, but the design team should be fired for this.)
