Could this be the fastest E63s on planet!! The beast ran 9.6 second 1/4 mile. I can't understand what he was saying but curious to know what mods he did to achieve those spectacular numbers.
Hitting 9's is a very impressive for a sedan...and good to see what kind of potential our cars can reach.

That isn't too bad with those mods to hit near mid 9 second car!!! Very impressive numbers. Originally Posted by I.T. Guy

as impressive as that sounds, now a days I am always curious of long term longevity/reliability.

There has to be more to it then those mods. What fuel? I bet race fuel. How is the transmission holding up? No broken output shafts? What tires are they running? Did they strip a ton of weight out? Interior looks there... hmm. I feel there must be more done. Others on here with fuel pumps and bigger turbos still haven't cracked the 9s... never mind mid 9s!! Stock pumps? Must be great fuel and lots of timing/boost.

I was generally thinking the same thing. They must have shed some weight. The driver is small too lol. Also, As you listed earlier, "Software engine, gearbox, CPC - Rivals" -- those aren't stock (Rivals is their team, so some kind of aftermarket whatever changes to the gearbox.) 100% agree on the Methanol racing fuel, I don't think there's any doubt there.Originally Posted by I.T. I spent a minute whipping out the ol' Google translator and this is what Tabris (the driver, founder of Rivals) said when he was sitting there programming the car (skipping to the part about what's in it):
"[Talking about setting up car for 1/2 mile runs today] [...] We only have 950 methanol turbines [turbos] here, engine firmware, central control unit, gearboxes, nothing else on this car. So now let's write some more."
Forgive Google translator for weirdness.
Yeahhhhh... I dunno.

I guess they could be dumping tons of meth in for power, not just for cooling. That must be it - race gas plus a ton of meth?

ExploreCan’t believe they are using stock fuel pumps and stock intake ( intake I can understand) but for stage 3 I was told I would need HPFP

How many lb/hr can the stock setup deliver? That's all the HP it will be able to make. Add in 80HP meth kit and that's all she wrote...
And stock intake , 🤔
My tuner said that stock intake is very good on e63s and recommended just changing filters .
seeing this do 9.6 with stock intake kinda confirms this theory .
Still can’t believe stock fuel system was able to feed enough fuel to run 9.6 .
even with stage 2 my tuner said that stock fuel pumps were limited .

My stage two was limited by HPFPs. That being said I trapped between 134-135mph consistently depending on weather. My best trap speed was 136mph under more ideal conditions. This was on 93 octane only.
I can imagine meth can make up the fuel for an additional 10mph trap speed with a more efficient turbo.

E is not at the pumps here and I’m not buying jugs of VP or storing barrels. So I’m duplicating your build except keeping cats. Eventually will throw bigger turbos on, with cats. I’m not a goodie two shoes, I just hurt myself with the smell in the old days. I tried on the 212 and can’t stand the smell on my clothes.Originally Posted by kponti

The plan is CPC and cold air … and when I’m ready to throw away the powertrain warranty stage 1 ECU/TCU. If all goes well then Fuel Pumps and Turbos on a built transmission. I don’t know yet about additional cooling. No meth I just want to fill up with 93 and run 10 flat all day.
I’m watching to see the pioneers and how the tranny goes…

I don't think the 9-speed will be your weakness like the 7 speed was. This trans can pull a 1.6 60' stock and modded.Originally Posted by I.T. Guy

Only thing I blew in the drivetrain was a front diff and it was the ring portion of the ring and pinion in 100-plus-degree days after multiple back-to-back launches. I also feel if I had insisted on having the fluids changed out like the rear was done, I would not have had that issue (burn marks galore on the gears).
I think it will handle 140-145 traps well which is what will get you to where you want to be on 93 octane. My tune indicated I had room to make more power but I would have run out of fuel. A slightly more efficient turbo will get you there easily.
Raudice traps that much on 93 octane
On the matter of exhaust, I wouldnt touch that. If I can run 136 traps on 93 octane with a completely stock exhaust, you will be in the 14X's easily with just Pure turbo 1000 (what I was going to do if I had kept the car and upgraded the HPFPs)

I've read about glazed clutches with the bigger turbos. I've asked the dealer what they are doing with my old transmission - if I can keep it I will already have a core

And we are on the same page with the exhaust, and the 1000s. I'm a year or more away from the turbos, hopefully I don't get distracted by something else shiny before then

I bet it was on the W212 with the 7 speed?Originally Posted by I.T. Guy

I am running Pure 1000s with stock fuel system, BB intakes and catless downpipes. Best time was 10.3 in the 1/4
Added meth for cooling and a heat exchanger and threw some R888s on the back, will be testing once I get my tune file from Eurocharged.
I need HPFP and LPFP to run an E Mixture/E85 to see more gains I was told but hoping the updated tune and meth will assist in getting me to 10 flat or high 9.

if it is being addressed as warranty, very unlikely as they need to ship it out back to MB Gmbh for analysis. If you have paid for that R&R then that is a different story.Originally Posted by I.T. Guy
