Looking for E53 AMG
It looks like it's time to move on to a new project. At first I was thinking of the S560 since it's price very nicely for such a car however in the end I am finding the E53 AMG a sexy replacement for my current C-Class.
As I am one of the first to have this C-Class model and had to deal with multiple issue, I would like to hear some of the issue that people have had to deal with while owning an 2020-2022 E53 AMG.
I have already seen in the form regarding a recall for the transmission wiring hardness fire related issue, I have heard about wind noise and also some creaking but I'm not really worried about those things.
Please write below what you have been through with your E53 AMG.

The main issue with the W213 E 53 would be a fire risk that is addressed by a recall, M256 although not as reliable as M276 has been way more reliable than the MB's four cylinders from experience with friends here in the GTA.

Google "e53 48volt issues mbworld" and decide for yourself

Also the 20 inch rims with Pirelli runflats make the ride a bit hard, and the sounds when hitting bumps unbecoming of an e-class.

i just posted a link. Hopefully Benz corrects your family members issue too, sounds terrible for a car of this caliber
Leaking cps and solenoids affects m278 and m157 among others but it's something an e63 buyer should look out for.

The Best of Mercedes & AMG
If you want to stick with the tried and true M276 yet get the upgrade to an E class, don't have to deal with potential 48V issues, you could always consider a used W213 E 43 sedan. Forum member Keith66 has one and loves it. https://mbworld.org/forums/c-class-w...ml#post8756078
I had to replace the Turbo under warranty which would have cost me $7500 if I didn't have warranty on the car.
This is my first White car and I'm not seeing allot of mods for the E53.
I see, that sounds pretty premature for the turbo to blow at that mileage.
Mod wise, I wonder if you can use the E 43 mods? Forum member Keith66 went from modding a W205 to a W213 E 43, hopefully he can help out with some ideas? https://mbworld.org/forums/c-class-w...project-4.html

Yeah, not much performance mods unless you go extreme with Spool's rotated turbo setup, intake setup wise not many as well and super expensive (in my opinion).
Frankly, I had initial worries about the 48v at first, but so far so good on my CLS.

The negative posts will garner more engagement than a positive one (ie, yep my car works no issues vs this car has issues, getting error code P01XX, HALP!!!)
So do your own research and make an informed decision.
On the 48v front. We have a 2020 CLS450 with zero issue (Mechanically, electrically etc).
About the only things is tires but that is about it.
Also when I pushed the car, I noticed all the power going to the rear and I could feel the rear moving outwards even with the tracking control on. This car is really heavy and you can really feel the weight on the sharp turns. Mods are really lacking but I'm looking to just make my car different from any other that I see out there, just like I did with my C-Class.
As per the turbo, it's was replaced because I noticed a metal ticking sound. They found out that it was the wastegate which was faulty and changing the turbo was the only way to fit this issue. The good thing about this is that I now have a new turbo in my used car...lol

Will you being doing the oil pump solenoid mod or leaving it stock for now?
The mod raises the power from 429hp to 520hp. My car now shows E53 AMG Lorinser.
I have already put a carbon fiber rear wing and will add more cracking and pops later.
