rear tires wore out not even

my CLS500 about 12,000 now. Lately I heard a lot of noise when I drive over 50 MPH. I checked my rear tires and it wore out from inside but not even. I want to ask any expert here why it like that? my bro said my air suspension is not working corretly. I will bring my car in tomorrow for my dealer to check it out.

Thanks

How serious this un-even wear?
I would check the allignment first.
Many MBs were out of allignment even if they were brand new.

Also...
Slight un-even wear is normal, and these high performance summer tires make huge noise as they start to wear out.
(I am sure it's pretty much worn out by 12000 miles)

Very serious, I'm at the dealer waiting for them to do aligment. My Service advisor told me my tires will last 13k to 16k. I'm getting new tires today around noon. Michel Pilo Sport front and rear= $1500

Rule of thumb buy the tire first then do the alignment. No sense of getting it aligned at the dealer with the old tires.

Sold 06 CLS500. SL550 09. SL550 2013. Own C6 Corvette heavily customized garage queen 2005.
Is this the reason why my car (13000 miles) sounds like it's on noisy steroids? I actually hear it more under 50mph and it sounds like an old diesel engine and it's driving me mad.
Any suggestions what wheels I should be looking for that would give me a quiet(quieter) ride and how many others here have changed their tires around this level?

after changed out the tire, no more noise and my car is not pulling to the right any more.

The tires came with the car usually make more noise after 10k.

Depends on how you drive, my tires last 15k miles MAX. No matter what car I drive

You need to check your camber, don't go to your dealer for this. The problem with the dealer is that they'll make sure you're 'in spec' which means yeah it's okay, but not perfect. That's the extent they'll go. See if you can go to a real tire / wheel shop and get your stuff done. You can go to www.tirerack.com and find an installer local to your area. Get them to take a look at your alignment, camber, and your tires as well. Perhaps it's just time for new tires, you did say you are at 13k miles right?

BTW: Moving to Tire forum.

see the other post under cupping. The dealer spec if for German high speed autobahn driving. For US slower speeds you need a different alighment, but most Dealers won't do it. Jim

I would expect tires to run 30,000 to 35,000 miles not 17000. The factory tires are good tires but get a bad rap due to so many new cars not having alignment set to US setting.
