Does anyone have any recommendations on how to remove the wheel weight adhesive left behind after having the wheels rebalanced. I am trying not to damage the finish on the rims in the process.

I had that mess on a set of BBS rims on a BMW 540. I used mineral spirits and a shop rag. I finished it off with a clay bar to blend the satin finish. Take your time..it WILL eventually come off.

Removing Weights
I realize that this response is delayed, but I am having the same issue. I did some digging and Oil Flo Safety Solvent/Degreaser has been recommended quite a bit. It comes in a 16 oz Pump Spray. I just ordered it from Car Care Specialties (http://www.carcareonline.com/detail....oduct_id=11001)

I'll let you know how it works. However, I assume you must have removed the adhesive by now...

I tried "Goo Off" on my clearcoated Corvette C5 rims and it removed the wheel weight glue AND THE CLEARCOAT...

Needless to say, I don't recommend it...

I first tried "Goof Off" (similar to Goo Gone) and that didn't work. However, I used the Oil Flo Safety Solvent/Degreaser the other day and it worked like a charm with no damage to wheels. It takes a little elbow grease, but not too much. I just sprayed it on and rubbed it in on each wheel, then went back to each wheel and kept reapplying until it all came off. Pretty easy, but the solvent was about $20...
