Accutire's accuracy is 1/2 psi - that's lame. I have better results with all-mechanical pen/stick-type one from Track Auto.
Good choice of a torque wrench!

I use a mechanical stick-type gauge I bought at Track Auto years ago. All digital ones that I know of have this 1/2 psi resolution, which doesn't make sense. I actually have an Accutire gauge that was on sale at Radio Shack for $9.95 about a year ago. Tried it a couple of times and didn't like at all. Never used since.

well, i ordered the stuff thru tirerack and got them monday via UPS. the box looked like it had been pretty badly thrashed. and one of the corners was open...
anyway, the 17mm socket was not in the box (my theory is that it fell out). called tirerack and not a problem. they sent me another one via fedex 2nd day.
my thanks to tirerack for taking care of it.

Tire Gauge Accuracy?
Griot's has one that goes to .1 psi accuracy. .5 psi accuracy can 'accurately' leave you with almost a 1 psi spread (29.6 and 30.4 both = 30)
which is 3% @ 30 psi. You can argue that 3% is not important but knowing it is accurate is worth it. That being said, I should have mine calibrated.

who cares! also when it comes to torque wrenches, well you get what you pay for. 30 bucks for a torque wrench most likely means its a piece of ****. ( dont mean to upset you but when it comes to tools dont buy cheap tools). cheap tools are the #1 reason for stripped screws, bolt heads, and injury. i was a mechanic for 5 years and i hate cheap tools.

Obviously 3% does not bother you. But I disagree with your statement:
"cheap tools are the #1 reason for stripped screws, bolt heads, and injury."
Improper use of tools is the #1 reason. I'm glad you "were" a mechanic. Quality is not directly porportional to cost.

And I will second the remark about cheap tools: get the most expensive ones you can get. Learnt it myself hard way. "We are not that rich to afford cheap toos"

so in other words a walmart 20 dollar set of sockets will outperform and are on the same quality level as a snap on 300 dollar set of sockets. cheap tools cause ****ed up hardware, and injury.

Cheap tools?
Cheap tools can wear quicker 'if' the material they are made of is inferior. Worn expensive or cheap tools can cause stripped fasteners and injury. New expensive tools can cause stripped fasteners and injury if used improperly. I have some "cheap" tools that came with new cars and motorcycles that perform better and last longer than anything you can buy today. I do like my Facom ratchets for looks, feel, finish, and ability to get the job done but my Crafstman ratchets get the same job done as well.

Good Tire Gauge
I love this gauge. Especially the bleed off function.
