Front brake rotors

I'm getting a quote for $570 PER front rotor. Aren't there any alternatives? I can't seem to find an aftermarket replacement anywhere.

Sorry my friend. We seem to have the one vehicle for which there is not a big aftermarket. I just did my entire brake system. Went with Goodridge Stainless Steel brake lines, Porterfield P4S pads, and OEM rotors front & rear. I can PM you the name of the vendor I used. They aren't cheap by any stretch but they are good.

That's a little on the high side. that's how much the black series rotors are. you should be able to find yours in the 400-450$ range. There are a few aftermarket options for the 2 piece rotors but they're not cheaper... so stick with OEM.

Also Adam's rotors. I have his vented slotted rotors on the rear of my GTI. But don't pay for his hub coating, it's crap. Base rotors are $250/pr front, $225/pr rear, or $375 for all four.

RockAuto.com They have amazing prices. I purchased cross drilled and slotted front rotors, Pads and sensors for right around 400.00 dollars for both sides. This was for my CLK 500. This is not 400 a side, This is for both sides! (Front)

Keyless go start push button

Question?
My keyless go wont start my car when pushing the button on top of the shifter. Everything else works just fine. Sometimes the push button works, But most of the time it does not?? anyone have this problem and knows how to fix it.

Those don't fit the 2006. That's what I initially ordered, got a call later that day citing a "catalog error"

Thanks, I think this is a solution. While they're not much cheaper, that 6lbs of savings is at least a nice upgrade!

2007 MB CLK 350
I have a 2007 CLK350 convertibel with 9500 miles. I have owned it for 1000 miles and am concerned about the brakes. It doesn't appear there are enough miles for them to be worn but when stopping I notice a definite pulse/vibration. Is this pulse a normal feel for these cars?

Being a cabriolet, you'll feel a bit more "imperfections" than you would in a coupe, but no, you really should not feel any pulsing. It could be a bad rotor, but suspension issues can also cause this.

Storing should not warp rotors. On some cars that use the disc brakes for the parking brake, that can happen, but not on the W209. It uses an internal drum on the rear rotors for the parking brake.

Maybe not much cheaper for initial purchase but don't forget when its time to replace rotor rings they can be purchased for about half the price ($577) of the assembled two piece rotors ($1050) saving you money in long term. We provide you with all the necessary components needed to change your old rings to the new.

Are both the front and rear sensors the same? Can you confirm that the product in the link you sent above will work for the front? Thanks.

Hey Kevin, your car uses three of the same sensor. One each left and right front, and one on the right rear.
