2019 Mercedes-Benz C300: A Revelation of Luxury & Technology

YouTuber feels the new C-Class benefits from overall refreshed appearance but the real beauty in this Benz is below the surface. 

The 2019 Mercedes-Benz C300 has undergone quite a few changes. While the car looks mostly the same at the first glance, it the details–the power, upgrades, and high-tech features–that make this new C-Class really shine.

YouTuber Everyman Driver gives a thorough review in their latest video. Host Dave Erickson is reviewing the 2019 C300 4Matic sedan, the C300 also comes in coupe and convertible.

“The newly updated C-Class sedan combines emotions with intelligence,” says Erickson.

Updates to the 2019 model include a new, more powerful engine, increased fuel efficiency, and a number of E-Class drive features. The refreshed C300 has benefited from the addition of LED head and tail lights, as well as a front bumper with chrome plated trim.

“These new designs render the vehicle’s new exterior more expressive and lend an even more dynamic character,” says Erickson.

Power has been increased with the 2.0-liter inline four-cylinder turbo engine. This is mated to a nine-speed automatic transmission. With 255 hp and 273 lb.-ft of torque, these are solid gains from the previous C-Class. It can hit 0 to 60 in 5.7 seconds. To which Erickson relies “Booyah!”

The fuel efficiency is impressive, with 23 city and 34 highway, this is definitely a gas sipper.

The interior is outstanding. All components are of top-quality materials, and the styling is sleek perfection.

“The sporty interior exudes class featuring flowing forms in a new interpretation of modern luxury.” says Erickson.

The center console is now made of real wood. The leather steering wheel has increased functionality with buttons that can be controlled by touch, and also respond to a swipe, like a smartphone.

The C-Class has the same fully digital instrument display as the S-Class. And the technology here is loaded. The infotainment system comes in two sizes, the screen is 7-inch for standard, and offered in 10.25-inch as an upgrade. The system can be controlled by a touchpad, the steering wheel, or voice control. It works with Apple carplay and Android auto.

Erickson hops in the backseat to demonstrate the ample leg and headroom, and shows off the 12.6 cubic-foot cargo space in the spacious trunk.

On the road, this is pure Mercedes-Benz. The ride is smooth, corners beautifully, and the cabin is quiet. The C300 is loaded the with the same new driver assist programs as the E-Class. This boosts the safety features, and includes active lane assist, blind spot monitors, and active brake assist.
