MBWorld’s Six Most Superlative Stories Ever
Here at MBWorld, we love go-fast vids as much as you guys, possibly more, judging by some of these page view numbers. But what we love most are vids of ridiculous Mercedes machines socking it to all comers. Be it on the street, on the strip, or on the track, there’s just something so satisfying about seeing supposed supercars from around the world, trying and failing to keep up with the best. Many times, it’s just no contest.
Knowing as much about our love of MB domination, perhaps you can forgive us for getting a bit superlative about these videos. But really, what would Internet writing be without superlatives? Well, we don’t want to find out, but we do want to find some sort of measurement for such grandiose claims as “fastest,” “most powerful,” and such.
Take for example our story from 2013 titled “MB SL63 AMG Faster Than Everything, Probably“. Well, it turns out that SL63 wasn’t actually faster than everything, heck, it doesn’t even make this list. But it’s not like we lied, it’s that we get excited (and we did say “probably”).
So, in order to gauge our excitement, to create a stoke meter, if you will, we’ve decided to rank our six most superlative moments here on MBWorld. And let me assure you, this is the greatest list of MBWorld superlative stories ever!
6. “Girl Out-Muscles Dodge Challenger SRT8 in her C63 AMG“: In this story we claim that American Muscle was the best option for drag racing, right up until the Germans came and gave this girl a C63 AMG. And of course, we were right.
5. “What Can’t a C63 AMG Beat in a Drag Race?”: What we imply here is that there is nothing a C63 AMG can’t beat, and since we put forth video evidence of not one but two videos, well, that should be proof enough. Please note, we’ve left the second video off this list because it involves the C63 beating up on an SLS, which we don’t really want to relive.
4. “Mercedes-Benz SLS AMG Black Series Versus SRT Viper“: At the bottom of this story we may have dubbed this the “World’s Greatest Drag Race,” but at least we were a bit more overtly tongue-in-cheek about it. And no, it’s not really a fair fight pitting a a Mercedes-Benz SLS AMG Black Series against an SRT Viper, but it’s still really fun to watch the Benz blow the doors off its competition.
3. “Here’s How to Make Your Old Mercedes Howl Like a Pagani“: In this story, we discuss the “best way possible to modify your Mercedes.” Perhaps that’s not entirely true for everyone, but for at least one person, the writer, it’s the best possible way.
2. “Say ‘Hello’ to the World’s Fastest Mercedes-Benz“: The guys who made the video below took the time to create a graphic that explains this Weistec tuned CLK63 AMG Black Series is the fastest Benz in the world, so why shouldn’t we believe them? So what if it’s only the fastest in the quarter-mile for this particular class? Whatever, it’s super fast. And super awesome!
