Testing Concludes the Mercedes-AMG E63 S Is Awesome

The Germans are up to no good with this Mercedes-AMG E63 S, and God bless them for it. Does the world really need an executive sedan capable of 196 mph? Shut up you. Just shut up. Of course, we do. What a silly question to ask.

Chugging out a nasty 603 hp, this Merc pumps out more ponies than an Audi RS6, BMW M5, or Porsche Panamera Turbo. However, power is nothing without a chassis that can handle it.

In the video below, Autocar‘s Matt Prior proves the E63 S is well-equipped in that capacity too, as he takes us for a ride in the Mercedes-AMG E63 S V8 BiTurbo on some regular roads. But with all the power and engineering built into this machine, he wisely makes a stop over at a race circuit to put this beefy saloon to the test.

What is Matt’s conclusion? Well, we’ll give you a hint: it has drift mode, so that always creates a smile.
