See the Mighty E55 AMG’s V8 Out in the Open
The motor that is tucked under the hood of a Mercedes-Benz E55 AMG is a beautiful thing, but sadly you never get to see too much of it when its crammed into that engine bay. Today though, you have the chance to see what this monster of a motor looks like when its removed from the shell of its W211 home. Recently forum member “TheTherapist” had to send his engine in for a rebuild after a filter fail let dirt into the engine and scarred the cylinder walls.
The engine has come back prepped, cleaned and coated, and it looks like a million dollars. Before the trouble of putting it back into the car and hooking everything up, “TheTherapist” was kind enough to take some snapshots of the big V8 out and in the open. It is glorious in every way.
Nothing like a little motor-porn, eh?
