How? move AUX input from glovebox to armrest

Hello I just purchased my first Benz yesterday. I've searched and searched but I can't find a clean solution to routing the AUX IN from the glovebox to the ARMREST. Anyone do this without any wires showing?

Thanks,

beater with a heater
just go to radio shack, get the 9 foot extension cable, plug it in the glove box, route it out the back, down under the dash, up the center console, drill a 1/4" hole, insert female end and please glue from the back, otherwise you might knock it back trough

$7.99 cable

You should get the Mercedes service DVD to learn how to take the console apart.

Or take a look at https://mbworld.org/forums/s-class-w...ion-guide.html - but the guide lkchris recommends will be better.

Alright. So here is a image of how I envision this working. I would run the cable ABOVE the glove box, down the center console, under the shifter, and under the armrest.

But I'm stuck on a few areas. I can't get the ashtray out. The screws are UNDERNEATH the plastic.

Also, stuck on getting this panel.

Your help is appreciated.

On my SL55 I routed the extention cable by pressing it upp between the carpet and the center console, the only thing you see of it is a tiny strip when you open the glove box and the armrest. Make sure you have a 90 degree angle on the jack in the glove box.
