I have an Announcement to Make
yeah that along with the miles i am now putting on this car since i am driving it everywhere all the time. and the mods hopefully will not void the warranty on anything except for parts that i replace all together.
Why am I not surprised. Don't bother dyno'ing the car with the rest of the mods either then.

risk + challenge =

i may end up getting all renntech upgrades if i can get some $. then we'll see who continues hating when i smoke a car costing twice as much.
WHO WANTS TO HOST MY VIDEOS I HAVE AWESOME VIDEOS BUT I NEED MORE WEBSPACE. FILES ARE BETWEEN 10MB-50MB..?????????
back to my original post,
- baseline dyno
you can't claim HP gain, if you don't know where it was before.- good luck !
- check your math
like everyone has said, HP gains are not linear. HP = $$$$ And be very specific on how you're going to get each extra pony !!I'm not hating ! You do the MODS you need to do ! Have fun !
It's just that you really need to research and take a reality check.
If you can't afford a $50 DYNO, where you gonna get the cash to get a C230K 4cyl up to C55 specs ??? I know, I know, in time, we will all see !
But by that time, the C55 will be as slow as hell !

The Best of Mercedes & AMG
Don't know if it is or not, but very curious, cuz my cousin has a 320 sedan and if at all possible, I can help him out on "increasing hp".
KLEEMANN, RennTech, CARLSSON, and (I believe) BRABUS, all have SuperChargers for the V6 C320 as well. Ranging from $13K to $30K depending on dealer.
Dropping in a C32 engine with associated drive-train & SAM computer would be ideal !!
but costly !! I spoke to Mark Cummins about this once before. I think there's more stuff I would need. He would know.
Let me know if you have any ideas / suggestions on V6 C320 performance upgrades.
So far, I've got:
- K&N air filters
- AMG exhaust
- RENNTech ECU programming
adding about 20 HP to my already 218 stock.
thinking of future mods to include:
- EVOsport UDPS
- EVOsport new headers
- AMG n/a C55 air intake (if possible)
Did we meet at the Rose Bowl get-together back in February ???
Thanks !

As for the Rose Bowl meet...LOL...I was supposed to go. I think I told you, IKomprz, Citron and a couple others that I would be there, but I had to cancel out last minute. But, to answer your question, we haven't met in person yet...I'll do my best to make the next one!

Either way, I hope Lucas did a re-vamp on his approach from Episode 1 and 2 because that was ridiculous. I wonder if he'll kill off Jar-Jar...I hate that character
I'm sure there are more peeps up in L.A. car clubs that could probably pull it off, with the right amount of $$$. Yeah, it seems like it's all about the $ with these Benzos. But damn, they're fun !!

and I would definitely consider it a re-vamp from I or II.
sorry to spoil it for you, but...
bad news is Jar-Jar is back.
good news is that he doesn't say ONE word !!

lololol i'm not hating, now you're lying. anyway... i am not doing mods because i have to or because i need to prove to anyone what HP increases are, i honestly don't give a fack, i'm doing it for fun. just for fun. i am not going to spend a ton of money on dumb stuff right away. i'm just gonna take my time, do one or two mods a month maybe and see what happens. i don't care about "specs" of other cars, i don't care about the dyno chart, i don't care about anything but having fun moddding. :p
also, last time i will say this, i am not going to void any warranties unless the mod directly causes a failure, THIS IS THE LAW not what MB says or what people on intraweb forums say. modding will not cause warranty voiding unless the part directly caused the failure. so enough with the "omg ohnoes voided warranty" posts please.

You will find out in life that just because something is right it will not always turn out this way...I will almost guarantee you if it looks like an aftermarket part you put on your car in any way shape or form to them could have caused the damage you are wanting them to fix under warranty, they will deny the claim. If the local dealers reasoning is far stretched you might have some luck contacting the regional rep. to get them to cover it, but good luck.
Yes, you can fight it and yes, maybe your part did not cause the problem but the time, effort and money you will need to fight them on this will not be worth it.
So..basically keep all your original parts and make sure to install them back on before you head back to the dealer for related warranty work.
