The Morse pads that I use on my '06 should fit yours. You should be able to get them from AutoZone or Advance. Mine have been on for over a year and about 30k miles. Still no dust, no squeak. I was the first to get them and posted a thread with part numbers last fall. Search my screen name and you should find everything you need.

Steve,

Now that you had them for 30K miles, how have the ceramics fared so far? Wearing ok? How is the feel and stopping distance? Any noticeable rotor issues?

I would stick with OEM unless you can't handle the dust they produce. If you want a GOOD set of performance pads, you have the option of Carbotech Bobcats

If Wagner Thermo-Quiet pads are available then thats what I would suggest. I worked at a Midas for a number of years and thats probably the quietest and cleanest pad Ive seen.

No rotor issues at all and they stop very well. Have no idea on the wear as I have not looked at them in a long time. (benifit of not having to clean the dust) I will definitly get them again when the time comes if I still have the car. Best $60 I've spent on this car without a doubt.

DO NOT BUY FROM THEPARTSBIN.COM

They shipped me the wrong parts and a missing sensor, never got back to me and never refund my money. It's a scam !

Caliper color, opinions needed

So i recently purchased the c32 front and rear brakes. I'm gonna paint them before I put them on the car. Car is white, with 17in clk500 wheels. What color would you guys recommend? Gold, Red, White, Gunmetal, Silver?

also wanted to confirm that my wheels will clear my brakes. anybody know for sure?
don't have a good picture of my wheels, but you can see them in the attached picture

are your tails still red, if not since you have your roof black, then black. or change the wheels to black and the calipers white or silver

Wheels will clear your calipers for sure

As far as color, I'd recommend black with white lettering to match your current set-up.

I vote white too, but no I didn't put my ansa in your poll. I have the same wheels and the same brakes. It'll work.

no, won't fit. Mount points are too short to cover the 13.6" rotors from a C32/55

how about the newer C's that had the sport brakes on the front- rears different also?

if they are different- is it worth making the upgrade in calipers for $50?

yeah the brakes are still different. My C350 has the same brakes as the C230 but the C32/C55 got ventilated rear disks that I don't have. (ventilated, not cross-drilled)

The C32/C55 still use one piston floating calipers though, and don't look any cooler than the C230 rear calipers. I don't see why anyone would upgrade to them.

works for me- my brake upgrades that i ordered last week should be here tomorrow. i ordered redstuff pads all around, ebc dimpled/slotted rear rotors (in an effort to better match the front), and braided ss lines.

$50 for the rear calipers in the classifieds seemed like a good deal. i still might go ahead and buy them though. clean them up and paint them- flip 'em on ebay for a profit
