i have 1997 e420 with about 146xxx miles on itand still going strong. ive ever since i go it a year ago i only had 2 issueas. 1. one of the cilinders didnt work and i had to buy 1 little replacement part for 150 bucks and 2. one of the lightbulbs in the back was going on and off but its all good now. changing brake pads within a couple of weeks. i dont know how long im gonna keep this car yet. probably until i save up for something like 02-07 c230.

My gas sipping C-Class
Knock on wood......
I'm about to hit 174,000 miles. Still have factory coolant, clutch, hoses, and a few other items.
The only major part to be replaced was the Alternator at around 130k miles. (i'm guessing, but I think it was around that mileage)
I did replace my cam sensors last year, but the stock ones, with well over 100k miles on them, did not have a drop of oil anywhere on them.
I have replaced the serpentine belt once and it's probably due for another one. I will have it inspected at my next service (in about 3k miles)
Tons of tires, numerous sets of brake pads and rotors, but no clutch yet. Still blows my mind. Especially considering how I drive.
This car has NEVER (here's the knock on wood part) left me stranded. Hard to believe, but it's true.
I may buy another car, but I will keep this one long enough to hit the 200k mile mark.

1999 CLK320 (sold), 2007 C230 SS (gone), 2000 Grand Marquis, 2011 CR-Z, stay tuned...
I had a 1999 CLK320 that had 232,xxx miles on it when I sold it last week! We also had a 2001 C240 that had 72,xxx miles when we sold it a year and a half ago. And my latest is a 2007 C230 SS which has 8,65x miles on it! Before all of these we had a 1986 300E which we sold in '99 for the CLK. Sold it to my uncle, who traded it to a dealership, who re-sold it to a parent of a girl I went to High School with. I still see it. They're such great cars!!!

My GF dumped her ML320 with 189K, but it had been neglected and
everything was leaking...ha, I didn't want to be stuck fixing it, so she bought
a 2006 ML350.
But I think it will likely go another 100K if someone fixes the leaks.

It's been gone only a week, and I miss it so much! It was my first car. The new ones, though with better features, and those wicked awesome rear windows, have an absolutely horrid design style!

i might do that too cuz the rattling is very annoying haha. but then i dont want to get the crap beat out of me by some environmentalists for a driving a v8 without cats lol
ive been going around shops looking and those arnt that expensive. they want around 1,000 bucks. compared to the MBZ service where they ask about 2-3 grand thats pretty cheap. i might just sell the car because i cant really afford the replacement and i was looking around for another benz anyways.

Man, cats are pretty expensive. Didn't people go around stealing them because they had palladium in them (precious metal)?
I just checked Palladium is 215 dollars an ounce. No wonder people went around stealing cats.

Audi S4, C230 Coupe
2003 c230 Coupe, 67k miles
Only problem, aside from my wife destoying a wheel and control arm on a pothole, is just recently the transmission control plate faulted. I needed to get the transmission service done anyways, so I can't complain.

My '04 c230k has 80k trouble-free miles... just brakes and tires... the bushings will need replacing next (according to my mechanic), but I'll wait a bit until I start to feel it...

My gas sipping C-Class
I'll be at 185,000 miles this week.
still cruising around on fact clutch. LOL.
Put 300 miles on it yesterday when two of my buddies and I took a road trip to the Hard Rock Casino in Tampa. averaged 29.1 mpg for the trip. My friend Alex couldn't believe I was at 184k miles.

I can't believe your car has 184k either. I sailed through 55k today.
Edit: I just noticed my above post from April 14th that it had 46,700.. holy crap it's been busy lately. But I love it.

51K on a 07 C230 Sport. Last 23k by me put on in 11 months - and I only worked 6 of those months.
I get out and drive it anywhere, any time if I have a free two hours. It's not super fast, so I manually downshift a lot - that's the fun part.

Turned 111k recently on the C230. Still runs/drives/looks like new (except for the stone chips that show the true age).
