C's, what mpg u getting or miles/tank?

Just wondering if your are getting the stated mpg on sticker when you bought the car. According to KBB here is the following:

1. 05 C230.....23/32 mpg with 189hp (Manual transmission)
2. 05 C240.....19/25 mpg with 168hp (Auto transmission)
3. 05 C320.....19/26 mpg with 215hp (Auto transmission)

I'm figuring 16 gallon tank minus 2 gallon (reserve, the low gas indicator lights up?) = about 14 gallon x (23+32/2, average of city/hwy?? ) = 14 gallon x 27.5 mpg = free-aytee-fi (385)??

Who's getting over 300 miles to the tank?

I would show you that at one time I got 39.1MPG (or something close to this) on my C230 (~70mph), but it would make you all jealous. Then again it's stored on a camera phone that I'll look for because of sheer amazement of the moment (look at my mods). But normally, lol, I get around 27city, mid30s freeway? I get close to 400 a tank, almost 100/quarter.
Yeah I know, cry snake oil, but all good to me (as long as I don't WOT the tank away, which some of my buddies think I do all day, haha).

With the exaggerated gas prices lately, this was what I was hoping to find, a luxury car with good mileage ,and it sounds like the C230 K is the way to go...plenty of power and awesome gas mileage! And the looks....

(Does the C get pretty bad mileage like all the cars when u have the a/c on?)

I know my C is older than most of yours, but I get on average 27-28mpg on the tank. I have an '02 with the 2.3l engine. On the highway I get 31-32, but the tank average is usually 27-28 and I am happy with that.

well I would think that even though I have an 04, it wouldnt be much different. Now I commute to and from college every day- roughly 12mi. round trip....then another 10 to and from my work not including other errands and odds & ends I need to do and with just that city and commuting I average 23 mpg. Now when I do get on the freeway or PCH at a nice set speed I get up to 28/29 mpg. Lately I fill up the whole 14 gallons at or around 330 miles to the tank. Which is nice since I have an aftermarket exhaust, YET i get better gas mileage around city from it however I loose like 2-4 mpg on the highway from it. So 330mi. average for me??

What fuel prices are you having there (US) after the hurricane?
In Portugal (some of the expensive fuels in europe) prices in US gallons/€:
petrol (95RON): 4,91€
premium petrol (98RON): 5,16€
high premium petrol (100RON): 5,39€
diesel: 3,93€
premium diesel: 4,16€

I'm using premium diesel and one time I did 590 miles with one tank!!!
I'm getting 36,18mpg on highway and of course its a CDI

not really, i don't see a big difference in gas mileage when a/c is on, but i do feel lose of power.

I've got the M271 (1.8L Supercharged) engine on my '04.5 SS and my gas mileage all depends on how much I use my car and if I'm on the freeway or just side streets.

If I only drive to and from work M-F and no weekend driving, that means I'm getting ~19 miles per gallon and a total of 270 miles per tank, which will also last me 2 weeks (7 days), usually on the dot.

If I mix it up between some freeway driving and some side street driving, I get around 300 miles per tank (21 miles per gallon)...Although, this usually means I'll be gasing up sooner than the 2 weeks for purely commuting to and from work.

If I go on a long trip with mostly freeway driving, I usually get close to if not over the 400 miles per tank range. Just for frame of reference, I've driven to Vegas a couple times from LA and on both trips, I made it there with a little over 1/4 tank. Vegas is ~330 miles away from Los Angeles.

Two weekends ago, I drove to Lake Elsinore and San Diego on one tank and after filling up in San Diego (for the trip home), the gas lasted me 6 days (commuting to and from work and a little more freeway driving). I got 395 miles on that tank.

So really, it all depends. All-in-all, I'm very satisfied with the amount of mileage this car gives me on one tank (especially the way gas prices are here in LA).

I get about 25-27mpg and that's a mix of city/hwy for my '05 SS. With gas continuing to rise, I'm pretty happy with the gas mileage I get. I don't notice much difference with the A/C on all the time. Just yesterday premium is up to 3.88/gal here. There's this big debate about this new gas cap law they started a few weeks ago.

03 M271 6-speed 27.4MPG Mixed

18 miles to work have highway half mountain roads.

I have gone up to 39mpg on local route doing 40-45mph.

At 75mph on the highway I can get up to 33mpg.

Bumper to Bumper traffic I get around 25mpg.

Pretty f'ing amazing for a car with 189hp...

My C320 gets about 23-24mpg on a 16 mile commute one way to work (front half city, second half highway). About 330-350 miles per tank. I used to fill-up once every two weeks.

On pure highway driving, 28mpg.

Not bad for 215hp

I get anywhere from 29-33mpg on a daily basis. I drive 100 miles back and forth, and i'd say my average is about 31.5. I lose about 1-2 mpg with the air.

My car is still new, so I don't know if it's completely broken in, but I'm getting at least 300 miles per tank. It's a defnite good thing considering it took $50 to fill it up yesterday.. but I only need gas like once every two weeks because of 1) the mpg, and 2) I don't drive far to work. On the highway my mpg averages 31 (my car has only really been on two long highway road trips) and in town about 25 mpg.

furthest i have gone on one tank is 460 miles... San Mateo to Oceanside... Used the Distance screen to calculate when i was OUT. that trip i averaged 29.4 mpg.

Also, i ran the tank so low that the Distance screen was - - - - and then the car "beeped" then the low fuel light turned off and the needle dropped to '0' like i turned the car off. Command said i still had 7.8 miles to the nearest refilling station and i made it.

Downfall of Command's distance till destination combined with Distance till empty screen!!!!
