Killed two birds with one stone.
Got my license plate lights working (no errors or flickering) and the entire bottom portion of my tail lights now light up. I didnt want to use resistors since they get too hot and I didn't want to risk burning something. This is where I got creative.
I needed something that runs cool and doesn't draw too much power. So I bought more LEDs. 1156 taillight bulbs to be exact.
I then spliced into the license plate wires, hooked them up to a socket and placed the new led bulb in the rear fog light socket.
Together the taillight bulb + the license plate bulb draw enough power that no error is thrown.
*oh and I also bought a set of 194 LED's for the city lights, they match the HIDs perfectly and 0 errors, thanks Mike.

DIY requested please.
question, when u put in the license plate led's before this mod
did u get the same results i did? they would flicker a little, and then not light up?
Its pretty easy, if you have the S-class tails. All you need to do is access the wires in the trunk. (You'll need to remove the lining on the trunk lid)
Each side has two wires, a brown (ground) and a purple with stripe (power).
Tap into those, and attach the other end to a socket. I used an old socket from my broken lights. Then just run the wires to the taillights.
