the blue interior and underglow led's
but the thing is...all of our blue themed lighting items are only blue when lit
and the reverse lights ruin the clean look of the car cuz they're blue when off

The blue tinted bulbs are not bad on the S-tails, they are extremely bad on the stocks because of the big clear space....I have blue tinted bulbs for both my reverse and turn signals, you can see it slightly, and especially if you look at an angle....I love my hyper white rear signals because when the signal is on, it lights up the entire clear part of the s tail as opposed to just the right side...
If the ebay bulbs don't work, I'll probably just put a resistor in because I have one lying around...I agree MJ, the hoens were good at first, but now they are still yellow to me...

there is... I've been in talks with a trusted vendor that MAY have the solution. only problem is that the bulbs are expensive (around $50), but for the money I spent on this ****...
they're importing them into the country as we speak.

I myself have at least LEAST spent over $400 on this ****. The only upside is that what doesn't work on the w203, works on the M3--but I'm happy with the set I have on it already, so I have many "backup" sets
I hope they'll be a miracle... they look good.
I was impressed when I saw the eBay bulbs b/c they had a chip inside the capsule... These are even more impressive. (I can't show pics at this juncture and I'll make sure to test them out--I'm helping them do the testing.)

dude, of course. I'm not going with anything that'll burn out our lenses and housings.

the M3 doesn't monitor the plate lights! lol. actually, the electronics in the w203, are in my opinion (at least the ones with MOST) more sophisticated.
company importing it is a trusted vendor that I've gone with and I know many others have gone with in the past. this will be their first foray into bulbs, but they have a source...

like you said, $50 ain't squat to get these... plus, $400 doesn't cover the damage I did to the original harness that was on my car (which thankfully MB covered under warranty.)

I got my LEDs, I'm just waiting to get my car back from the repair shop...I will try them, with not much hope for them working, although I plan on trying a resistor if they don't work.....i think there are some people way back in the beginning of this thread that are using resistors, but im not sure...

I have the same obsession as Phil and probably many others as far as trying to match the look of the Lexus lights, tried it all.. Up to this point Hoen Bulbs or Stock are the only options (NOTE: the Hoen bulbs arent that bright, but definately a difference to the Stock and they dont burn anything out)
Sure hope someone can bring us these miracle bulbs
