Thumbs up Heads up Guys great LEDS

i've recently been searching the forums and fixing up my 02' C320 (I'll post pics later) and wanted to let everyone know that i've come up on a seller who sells solid LED license plate lights. They're the festoon bulbs with 6 smd.

the link to the seller is as follows:

http://stores.shop.ebay.com/Unique-P...34Q2ec0Q2em322

I'm hoping that this helps someone!

It sounds good (lifetime warranty, no resistor and wire tapping necessary, just plain old plug and play)... but after reading all the messages (yes all the messages) in this thread... well, I'll wait for your report after six months. After six months, please answer these questions that are related to the LED license plate lights:

- Are the lights still working?
- Did you ever get a light error code?
- Does it flicker once in a while?
- Did it melt your plastic light housing?

If the answers are favorable, I'll be on it like a fly on dog poop.

OK NEW problem, my right bulb is OUT completely, normally when the bulb blows it just dims but now it's out. And now I have the Bulb Out message on my dash? Did my resistor fail?

I did it on my dad car s class 08. It s have no problem until now. I ask the people who have an experience in electric. They said it s depend on the original bulb watt on those car. You just put the resistor that re matching on your car.

Hope all of your guy enjoy it. It might be useful for all of your guys.......

I like that, that's clean but if I remember correctly , your LED install requires removal of the trunk liner and wire tapping a resistor to the lic plate light wires. I'm concerned that if I do this, the stealership will have a reason to void some of my 7yr/100k warranty. (Thus I don't think I can install after market HIDs, chip the car, remove the resonator/install xpipe, install a lowering module, etc..)

Another member and other threads recommended these LED License Plates (no wiretapping necessary). But the problem is it's too pricey for me (plus I'm not even sure if it works!).

Just a heads up guys

i have a set of the lights i recommended to gabe 007 on my C320 and E350 as well and i've yet to have a problems. . . and it was very simple setup. Just unscrew the lense cover and replace the festoon bulb with the LED ones.

I hope this helps there were no needs of rewiring or anything like that.

Hey everyone,

Haven't posted in a while I found new led bulbs made for mercedes. They're called 'canbus festoon bulbs'. The guy promised it would work in the c class with no errors, flickering and doesn't need resistors. I've ordered a set so should be here in a week or so. Will post pics when I get them

Im looking for some help related to circuits etc.

I picked up some led lights from ebay, with each housing containing 8 white LED's. What Im trying to do now is match the OEM bulbs power specification using resistors, so the computer on my car doesnt throw an error.

The resistance of each bulb is 650,000 ohms (does that make sense?). According to my calculations, I should use a resistor of about 30 ohms in parallel with the bulb. Can anyone let me know if this number kinda sounds familiar?

I know a bunch of guys on this thread have done the same thing.....so HELP!
