changing the bulb for fog light

im planning on getting sylvania silverstar(not sure about spelling) 55 W bulbs for my 05 c230K fog lights. The booklet doesnt have instructions for replacing the foglight bulbs. Does anyone know if our fog light bulbs are 9006?

Can someone also give me instructions on how to replace the fog light bulb, thanks

I just changed my fog lights to Sylvania Silverstar.
Disappointed on the color of it.
It is not blueish nor whiteish. Just little brighter than the stock one.

Install was not that hard once you figure it out.
Just remember that inserting position is 8 o'clock when you see from the
front and locked at 6 o'clock position. Someone posted that it goes at
9 o'clock position and I was puzzled for 10 minutes.

im in the same shoes as you. i dun like how the sylvania silverstar look, so im gonna get the piaa 9006. im probably going to go with something that is extemely purple. but its 90 dollars for the piaa, maybe nokya.. for 25 bucks. the only problem is that the nokya ones come with 80 W, and that might blow with our 55 W sockets. still deciding.

As far as I understand it, the 80W rating is just the Maximum output, but the entire 80w will not cause problems with the 55w socket...

at least, that's what they told me at Super Autobachs. I bought Nokya bulbs for my fogs, but haven't gotten a chance to put them on. When I do, I'll post pics.

2005 Foglight bulbs

Alright, I know of the existence of the lighting FAQ guide and I've tried to follow it to change out the foglight bulb in my 2005 Sport Sedan, but I can't find the seam b/t the panels or the freaking screw that's talked about in the guide, so my question is:

Does the foglight bulb removal guide apply to the 2005 Sport Sedans as well and I'm just stupid? Or should I be looking for a guide on how to remove change the foglight bulbs on a C32?

Thanks in advance for the help!

should be the same. 9006 bulbs. remove the plastic panels from under each fog. the small plastic pegs pull out of the bumper. you can get the first 3 out from the front. enough to reach your hand up in there.

Sorry for the late reply, I got a matching set of 8000K HIDs. I just got my 05 about 3 days ago and had a really hard time finding mars red on black with sunroof, entertainment, and lighting package. Finally they found one without the xenon lights so I went ahead and ordered 2 sets of hids one for the headlights and one for the foglights. Can you guys tell me what kind of bulb the turn signals and city lights are?
